I'm guessing he got told there wasn't room for him anymore, or he wasn't developing like they thought and aren't on him as high anymore.

"Second lowest" on paper, but if you consider the other one is a punter, he is pretty much the lowest ranked player.

UGA has bigger fish on the hook folks.. This grown man was shown the door even before he stepped on campus. Reason why UGA is a top five program and the small sized gamecocks are a perianal bottom feeder in the history of college football. 3 stars (on avg) win you games against the UT's, KY's, Vandy's and Miss States of the SEC.... 5 and 4 stars win divisions, championships and get drafted in 1st-6th rounds (on Avg)

Best of luck to the man on his journey over in the pit of hell that is Columbia, SC

Best of luck to this young man as long as he's not playing against our Dawgs!

I've no issue with changing horses before getting to the stream. Perhaps the first horse threw him, but perhaps he felt he'd be a better fit at Columbia. In any case, it gives us plenty of time to replace him.

    Go, Dawgs!

Best of luck in all you do Mr. Westmoreland ( except when playing the DAWGS! ). May you develop into a 3-star that becomes a high NFL draft choice ( if that is your dream ). May you also get a good education to serve you after the NFL.

What is a commitment? Either you are or you are not. For a short time he was committed to the Dawgs! So, best of luck, and no hard feelings.

I can't blame Donovan for his decision. UGA often gets commitments from guys like him early on who then look elsewhere as they either realize that they are being recruited over in their own class, they realize that UGA's communication is waning, or they just get a bug in their ear from someone outside the program who fills them in on the reality that they would be about 10th on the depth chart at UGA and about 3rd on the depth chart at South Carolina.

    Good luck, Donovan.

Didn't have a lot of length. Smith from Appling county though should be a monster along with Carter. A lot of Leonard Floyd in his look. 6'6 230ish. If that guy works his butt off and really works on gaining some weight while retaining his speed, he's gonna be tough to keep out of backfields.
