Brandon, I did not listen to your Podcast, but I have to push back on what you said above in the narrative.

ESPN's FPI has nothing to do with strength of schedule and isn't a reflection of that. The Dawgs regular season schedule is weak after Clemson, and we all know it. The #5 FPI rating for the Dawgs is all about the strength of the team. However, they are still giving us only a 25% chance of making the playoffs. They also forecast us to win 9.9 games and lose 2.8 (however that works out).

Per ESPN's own definition of FPI..." The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. "

I would put Georgia's strength of schedule up against Clemson, Oklahoma and Ohio ST.

Georgia will play 6 teams who finished in the top 27 of the 2020 recruiting rankings (247- Composite)..

Ohio St will play 4 teams who finished in the top 27 of the 2020 recruiting rankings.

Clemson will play only Georgia and FSU.

Oklahoma will only play Nebraska and Texas.

Look at the recruiting rankings year in and out: The teams on Ga's schedule simply recruit better and have more blue-chip talent than the teams on this list.

Georgia has a favorable schedule (for the SEC ) but acting like Georgia has a weak schedule is nothing but Fake News...

Maybe "weak" is the wrong term. Georgia has the EASIEST regular season schedule (post Clemson) than we have ever had in Kirby's 6 seasons. That IS a fact. The only team we play after Clemson that ended last season in the Top 25 is Florida (#13), and they imploded at the end of the season, lost a couple of key players, and ended up 8-4. Several of our 2021 opponents have new head coaches, new starting QBs, and/or are rebuilding their program. Georgia should easily cruise to the SEC Championship game IF they don't beat themselves. Then comes the hard part where we find out if the DAWGS are really a great team.

We ought to be thankful we don't play in the SEC West or we may have never even made it to the playoffs that one time. Bama, LSU, Texas A&M, and even Ole Miss will all be formidable opponents this season. In fact, speaking of 2020 recruiting rankings, the SEC West has 4 teams in the Top 7...

@MontanaDawg weak easy, one has to admit it is most favorable none the less. It is probably the easiest or the second easiest schedule to get to a conference championship game. Kirby has no control over the quality of the SEC teams he plays this year. He just has to win each game to get to Atlanta.
