Offensive and defensive backfields make the more noticeable plays and therefore get plenty of spotlight, but this game will come down to the line of scrimmage (as they almost always do). If our O-line can't control their D-line, it'll matter very little who is in our backfield. And if our D-line isn't disruptive, it won't matter who our D-backs are. Chin straps. Smash mouth. Who's tougher. Game on. Go Dawgs!

Matt Luke 2nd year, first full spring practice, time to present a dominant O-Line. We have the talent, we just need to execute it.

Right now....this program is far from winning a national title yet alone the SEC.

Unknown position assignments this close to the biggest game this season mean big issues can and will occur that will determine an outcome that is not in UGA's favor.

Just telling you folks...we have way to many starters playing with nagging injuries, to many starters not playing at all and way to many unknown personnel making career first starts.

Clemson wins this one...38 - 24 UGA gets beaten badly late 3rd qtr as the Tigers pull away.

This statement as many of the major programs across the nation have literally just this week named a starting QB. This is what we recruit for. Depth. Be optimistic. Your pessimism is not needed or welcome pal.

@Ddavis0777 the problem seems not to be recruiting all the talent but developing it so there is depth

Clemson will learn that being ACC good and an ACC bully doesn't equate to being SEC good. People want to question the UGA OL. But I believe the UGA LT, RT and LG all stated all last year against an all SEC schedule. That doesn't count the experience Ericson received last year. The RG Ratledge is 6'6" 320 lb has a year in the strength program and was a 5* (Rivals) coming out of HS. OC Van Pran is also a blue chip w/a year in the program. The real key to this game is the UGA DL vs the Clemson OL. I see a lot of Bulldogs in the Clemson backfield.

TENACITY! Alabama has it. Clemson has it. UGA hasn't had it 100% across the team since 2017. See the bowl games of 2018, 2020. TENACITY, wither your 0-12, 12-0 or somewhere between , going to the playoffs or a bowl game. It needs to be passed onto the incoming freshmen, practiced at practice no matter the situation no matter how many injuries we have to starters or backups.😎

Biggest game of the season? Nope. The SECCG is far bigger. Maybe you think we won't win the East, but Clemson doesn't matter outside of bragging rights if we can't win the East. Kind of like your prediction that Cincy would beat us last year, maybe you are prone to only seeing the empty part of the glass?

If you read the story, the whole point is exactly the opposite of what you are claiming. The fact that they are developing (repping) the two deep means we are very deep. If they were worried about finding guys who could block it would be settled and they would be desperately trying to rep their starters. If you have ten guys who could start, that's a good problem to have. Also, think about when our backup O line got in late in last year's games. I've personally never seen our backups pound the rock down SEC D's throats late like last year. They knew we were running and they couldn't stop us. Usually, the opposing D can load the box and stop our run late. IMO, we are going to be very good on OL this year, maybe great--our best OL in Kirby's tenure.

@PerroGrande while I disagree with your assessment if you are correct then the offensive line will be a finalist for the Joe Moore award and then Kirby has a chance to make the playoffs. As an aside all teams at this point in preseason are repping their first and second team offensive lines. In fact many teams are trying to determine who their starting 5 will be. I know this is true for atm,LSU and Bama. Given that it would appear the dawgs have a huge advantage.
