According to CKS we played players who weren't in game shape, others lined up wrong(don't know the play book)? Just big game jitters?, and some who went the wrong way on their run blocking schemes. Lack of communication? And we still won!

I'm not bothered by people believing our offense is inept, especially if that creeps into the minds of opponents and makes them over-confident. I fully expect that when we have a few more healthy pass-catchers available, and increased reps across the WR, TE, and OL rooms, our offense is going to be just fine and put serious points on the board. Go Dawgs!

I agree, the offense will be just fine..but...it better start with UAB! JT has to go vertical this week. No more conservative play. Contain UAB's talented QB and the game is over. UGA defense should be able to stifle any potentially explosive plays. That being accomplished...JT can go airborne...even check downs to RBs should keep us from 3rd and long. UGA must open up and let loose. Keep the pressure on the UAB defense. Mix it up. Hopefully, we won't need Podlesny so much. Jake C will keep UAB backed up all day with his superlative punting. GO DAWGS!!!

Is there someone other than me that is not concerned about our offense? Exactly what was supposed to happen in the passing game when Clemson's safeties are 15 yards off of the line? Force it downfield anyway? They were not playing man to man defense. They clearly were concerned about our passing game otherwise they would have played man.

The offense will be fine. It is just week 1 of football. Georgia played against the number 3 team in the country who has a great defense. If you looked at the game...Georgia was able to move the ball. Once they get where they can improve blocking out on the edges they will be much better.

I think @KBP, the concern (at least for me) is that with safeties playing 15 yards off the line of scrimmage, that our vaunted running attack wasn't more overpowering. Until the end of the game, we really didn't CONSISTENTLY run the ball with much authority. We had some good runs here and there but overall, we were just pedestrian. One would think, with a soft zone like Clemson played and with our stable of high-quality running backs, we would have had a lot more rushing yards. I think Kirby even mentioned in one of his postgame comments that he wanted to review the film to see why we didn't do a better job of running the ball. I'm sure our passing attack will improve when some of our better receivers get healthy, but I wanted to see us take advantage of Clemson more with our running game. Go Dawgs!

Calling JUstin Robinson, Terrance Edwards said last year that he could go up and high point the ball at 6'4" and 210 lbs. HAsn't happened yet.

I wonder if ratledge being out of the game affected any of their decisions on that. I agree, we should have been able to run it better.

As for running the ball, let's not forget what a talented and formidable defensive front Clemson has, and that this OL lineup for Georgia is just starting out (as a group) and probably isn't even settled yet. I'm not saying Smart and Monken shouldn't scour the film to find avenues for improvement. But for us fans, I think it should make for a pretty satisfactory explanation. I'll be a lot more concerned if we're still running the ball like that 4 or 5 weeks from now. But for now, I'm not worried.

Going forward UGA will play a Clemson type schedule. No one should worry about the offense.

Alabama had a new OC and a new qb. Out of shape? Lined up wrong? Lack of communication? Where were their first game jitters? Sorry, but once again, it sounds like coaching issues……

I think BAMA even started 3 OL who had never started before. Just reload. Freaking machine over there.
