ATHENS — Through rain, sleet, snow and a few scattered boos during the video board introduction, Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett IV delivered.

Never had disrespect for Bennett, only for the ridiculously speculative reporting that had him starting the game...
Bennett met the challenge and had the offense firing. I'm sure that sticks in a lot of naysayers craws. He made dynamic plays, Beck did not. Beck almost got Arian Smith killed on a long wobbly pass into double coverage, and that pick six was terrible. He threw the ball to a guy who had his back turned to him. I'll take Bennett all day long as the backup. The future is Vandergriff and then Stockton. Kirby made the exact right choice in this game.
Which he did, so not sure how ridiculous it was.
It'll never happen but it would be very interesting to see somebody bring The Mailman in to run scout or something. He's smart as a whip. He throws bullets. And he can move (remember when he drove the 1's crazy "imitating" QBs in the past). The kid can flat out play. Yeah, I know, just a fantasy but I'm enjoying it, for the moment. I'm not sure Drew Brees is really 6' by the way, or that Russell Wilson is really 5'11" (Stetson's reported height). Remember, it he hadn't gotten hurt at Florida.... who knows. Anyway, quite a DAWG, for life.
Our offense is not as bad as it looked vs Clemson or as good as it looked yesterday, in my humble opinion. As a side note, we look pretty good with the Jacksonville State win against FSU, if you put any stock in comparative scores.
Stetson is awesome. And it's way past time our fans realize that and show a little gratitude.
Hey, just let Stetson start a couple more games. He was awesome. Had the rocket launcher out Saturday. Man! Lovin' it. Congrats Stetson from one of your Wayne County (Jesup) neighbors.
