Informative article but, true to form for Connor, so many misspelled words and grammatical errors one has to keep going back and forth reading to try and understand the message. Go Dawgs!

I am not willing to reread the article to try to decipher it. Where did Kirby say he didn’t care about what the fans “..,think about his team’s talent level.”? Best I can determine he said something along the lines of he didn’t care about what other coaches say about his team’s talent level! Conner, if you live in Athens, UGA has an excellent school of journalism. You should sit in on a few classes.

Crummy weather in GA this week. Hopefully it doesn't dissuade the many potential recruits that will be taking in the game on saturday. Remember '19(?) when seemingly every home game (KY, SC, ?) was terrible weather? Really did not portray The Classic City in its appropriate light. Hopefully these rainy fall weekends is not a trend.

I'm sure Connor meant the "universal" YOU, not the fan or even coach YOU as the title of his article. Also @BornADawg, if we are going to get overly grammatical, your sentence should be "to try to understand", not "try and understand".

Thanks for the grammar lesson bogarttad I suppose I stand corrected. However Connor’s article are consistently filled with errors in spelling and grammar and he could easily take the time to proofread his work. Maybe you should apply for his job.

I agree that the *you* in the headline is pretty clearly meant to refer to others in general.

As for the spelling and grammar issues, I've been on the fence about whether to comment/complain. One could argue it's a free site, so there's not much sense in complaining about the product. But the errors are rampant, and have been for some time. At this point I'm inclined to reason that these guys are getting paid to do this, and regardless where that money comes from, it makes sense to expect that they would take 5 minutes to look over their writing before posting it. Or even that the site would hire someone to do it for them. It really is getting to be kind of baffling that such a glaring issue still hasn't been addressed.

Since I'm on the subject now... I've mentioned this once before but typically hold my tongue, so to speak, every time I read something from Riley. When "though" is used in the middle of a sentence, it should be bracketed with commas. "Smart[,] though[,] recognizes the neccessaitty (sic)..." It's a little thing, but if you could see your way to incorporating this, it will probably reduce the chance that at least one reader might just start bleeding from his ears one day. Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I don't think it's Malzahn's Auburn anymore. Just sayin.

You’re correct street0123. You would think a beat writer would know this, would you not? Just another reason it makes Connor’s articles so hard to read and it happens time and time again.

Riley clearly copies and paste articles from previous years and fails to edit them. I remember I called him out for posting an article that said UGA vs Cinncy face off in the Sugar Bowl, even though it was the Peach bowl, clearly used same title 2 years in a row when we played in the Sugar Bowl against Texas and Baylor! Hahaha

I am a proud graduate of UGA's Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and I make my daily living editing copy. I have offered on several occasions to edit DawgNation stories for free. So far, no takers. Reading Seth Emerson's work in The Athletic helps me remain sane -- and informed. If you have not read his stories, you should. Go Dawgs!

The football takes some funny bounces. For some reason those bounces seem to always go against us in the games against the Tide. Officials bad calls have been a source of frustration too. Keep on fighting and scratching and somewhere along the line the laws of averages will catch up. Our time will come. We have lots of talent and good coaches. And the best fan base in all of college football. Goooo Dawgs!
