I reckon UGA has to beat Bama to gain #1. Glad to oblige.

Bama’s 6 game winning streak has to end at some point, maybe this is the year

Why is an undefeated Kentucky team still ranked below Arkansas? And speaking of Arkansas, how do they only fall five spots after getting shellacked. Personally, I think both Ole Miss and Auburn will beat them.

Seems to me Arkansas' adjusted ranking is an acknowledgement of the quality of the team that just beat them.

At this point in the season the rankings never make any sense. OSU is ranked above Oregon, who beat OSU. To say Costal Carolina is the 15th best team in the nation is really a joke. I seriously doubt that even in the weak East Division of the SEC they would only out rank Vandy if the had to play a SEC schedule.

Kentucky should be ranked higher given all the respect the University of West Gainesville got for losing a close game to Alabama.

It will all shake out so not to worry.

    Go, Dawgs!

Mid-season polls are irrelevant. Better to be rated #2 to maintain the keep working hard message to the team. What is sad is, the way this season is shaping up, that UGA will have to play Bama twice and possibly beat them twice to win the championship.

@UGADad20 beating any team twice within the same season is extremely rare and very difficult. It has so much to do with preparation, focus and injuries.

"You ain't played nobody". It used to make me mad when opposing fans would say that. But now our own coaches say it and the players use it for motivation.

Funny how something negative can be turned into a positive.

I agree, and think about how much better and complex today's offenses are compared to 2011. The 2021 Dawg's defense has a chance to be something more than special.
