Huh, this comment would be far more useful if it included any facts or analysis. Not sure what "good man" means or why it's in quotes. Just trying to gin up a fight on the internet? For no reason? Hey, who's the best QB on the UGA football team? Want to argue that point, or simply to fling insults to people with whom you don't agree?
Completely understand starting SBIV due to the "continuity" factor. Also completely baffled as to why JTD didn't get some reps in a blow out game. Must still not be 100%.
You ought to be a fan of the team you think is better equipped to win the natty. I have watched Bama, OSU, OU, and even Cincy. There is a big gap between the Dawgs and the teams that are two through five! That’s with Stetson getting us through the toughest part of our season! If you haven’t been paying attention, today the Dawgs demolished the team that almost took the almighty Bama out of the playoff picture coupled with the loss to A&M. As it is, it will be Kirby and the Dawgs that get that honor!!
Lots of rusty on both sides of the ball, good to get the rest and healing though. The Dawgz no doubt will be sharpened the rest of the season. 😎
There’s No Way the Dawgs beat Clemson without George Pickens. There’s No Way the Dawgs will beat Arkansas without JT. There’s No Way the Dawgs will beat Auburn on the road without JT. There’s No Way the Dawgs will beat Kentucky without JT. There’s No Way the Dawgs will beat Florida without JT. With all the **** decisions he’s making There’s No Way that Kirby will have the #1 recruiting class for 2022. 🙄 And I thought I was a Negative Nelly !! Look just like allot of Dawgs fans I’m anxious to see JT back. But I Trust that Kirby Smart knows what he’s doing. I also have Every confidence that he’s being advised by Coach Monken concerning the Offense. I DONT at all see Kirby saying NO Coach Monken I don’t care at all what your advice is I’m gonna do everything My way or you can hit the highway !! I just can’t vaguely see that happening. As I posted on another thread there are tons and tons of things that go on behind the scenes that we as fans simply Do Not Know. Kirby had his reasons for not playing JT vs UF. And really at THIS juncture what is the Real Rush ?? Dawgs were up 24-0 at half time. The game was never in any real jeopardy. Stets admitted Readily and Whole Heartedly that he had a bad day. Even some of the greatest QBs ever to play at UGA had games where they threw multiple INTs !! By all means don’t take my word do a internet search on some of them !! Now what’s wrong with bringing JT in for the Mizzou game and letting him knock the rust off against what should be a much easier opponent and at home ?? And even in that game As Long As he gets allot of snaps is it a mandatory thing for him to start the game else some of you will think Kirby is a moron ?? AGAIN I’m as anxious as Any Dawgs fan to see JT back. And I even predict that he will be a Better version than we have Ever seen !! But the young man has missed FOUR games !! So AGAIN at This particular juncture it’s not a Do or Die thing to get him back on the field. And instead of bashing on Stets you better be thankful we had him to turn to when JT got injured !! Beck and VG are just way to raw !! Very talented but also very raw. So I would advise you for your own mental health and so that you can better Enjoy the Game to Calm Down. It’s gonna be alright. Have a little faith in Kirby. He knows what he’s doing and also the Players trust him. Our beloved Dawgs are the #1 team in the country, they have won 8 games in a row none of which were close at the final score except the first one vs Clemson, and now they are the SECE Div. Champs. Soak it up, enjoy, and like Oddball said on the movie Kelly’s Heros take in some rays, eat a little cheese, drink a little wine. And have some faith baby !! 😀. Go Dawgs !!
If JT is hurt I can accept that. But why are we acting like Bennett is Joe Montana all of a sudden? Threw those two pics into double coverage.... Our defense is our savior. If they can maintain their play we have a chance but JT was the starter for a reason. But hey we also let a first rounder walk out the door for an NFL practice squad guy....
All these people complaining about Kirby's decision making makes me sick. Not a single one of these "armchair" quarterbacks could even come close to doing what Kirby does on a daily basis. We would not be where we are without Coach Smart. He makes decisions based on who gives us the best chance to win the game we are playing on a given Saturday.
Am baffled by those here that refuse to see the sh*t show the QB situation is building into. kirkhiles perfectly captured the future: Beck leaves, probably goes to UF and beats us next year; Daniels gets the Fromm treatment and ends up on the Bills' practice squad (instead of high draft pick); Vandagriff possibly bails; and all hope rests on Stockton . . . with no one else in the room. With no QB future, recruiting takes a hit, juniors leave for the draft, and sophomores enter the portal. And all this is a possibility because of loyalty to a future booster? Maybe this is all over-blown, SBIV is a mediocre QB, afterall.
But, the defense cannot beat any of the top 6 by themselves. The offense really needs about 28 points, at a bare minimum. Oklahoma and Bama would score at least that much. We were all nervous about UF for a reason and, if not for the fluky 2:30 minutes to end the first half, this was a different ball game.
Starting SBIV, fine. Not putting JT in at half, absolutely do not understand. Okay, fine, SBIV is a DGD. But, does even that DGD think that he is the best QB on the team and the QB most likely to lead to the NC?
I see plenty of bandwagon fans.. If you dislike the situation.. Cheer for Tech, nobody will miss you!!

If Daniels is such a generational QB, why is he not still the starting QB at USC?
He would still be the starter at USC if that were true..
I find it interesting some think Kirby lies about JT's health on a regular basis but think he wouldn't take the heat off JT if he said he wasn't quite up to starting, even with medical clearance.
JT's parents thanked Kirby for not pushing JT to start after he'd been medically cleared, that seems like a pretty good hint as to what the real situation might be this season.
I well recall JT warming up pre-game, wincing a lot, talking to the trainer and not playing, this was maybe 5 games back.
I think what's most likely going on is Kirby is defering to JT on whether he's ready to start.
I'm a fan of a good story and Bennett is a good story. His performance yesterday was enough to tell me that Daniels should get the start next week and see what he's made of. As good as our defense is can they take us through the SECCG, and two playoff games without some elite offensive support.
There's no reason I can fathom that Smart wouldn't give Daniels the chance to run our offense next week. If he fails, we know we have to rely on Stetson. He's capable but he's not Elite, Kirby says he will put the best on the field....
Never said he was generational - just better than SBIV. And, he left USC. Is it your position the Slovis would still start if JT had stayed there? Is it also your position the SBIV should start the rest of our games over JT? That CKS is managing the QB situation in a way that is best for the season and the future?
Look, if Daniels is still hurt and CKS has been leveraging the situation to make teams prepare for two possibilities, fine. Totally makes sense to me. In fact, it is the only way that any of this makes sense.
I get the whole, have faith in the coaches and that they know the team better than me thing. But, everyone on the planet saw the Justin Fields thing for what it was and no one was surprised by the fallout. The writing on the wall is just as clear now.
