Watching Michigan steamroll Iowa. Not sure how you cannot move them up to number 1. Bama at 2. Cinn at 3 and then UGA backs into #4. Georgia is lucky that there is not another deserving 1 loss team. If OSU had beaten Oregon, UGA would be watching the playoffs and playing Baylor again in the Sugar Bowl.

I don't often agree with you Mike, because you mostly write stuff for clicks...BUT THIS ONE IS 100% THE TRUTH. Kirby has squandered 3 leads against Bama with zero to show for it because he's doesn't know how to adjust when he get's behind. He can't manage the QB position and I have ZERO idea why the defense looked so slow and uninterested. Missed tackles, poor angles, and a secondary that looked uttlerly lost like they'd never played football before. Inexplicable. It's like Kirby coaches himself OUT of games instead of going for the jugular like Saban. Bama definitely smelled blood in the water after that first blown coverage and instead of adjusting, the defense looked even more lost. The bottom line: Bama EXPECTS to win while UGA hopes to win. I thought this was our year, but UGA isn't beating Bama if given another chance and Michigan will blow Kirby out just like today. Michigan's D and O are much better than Bama's. Maybe STET will stay another year while we lose two more 5 stars to the portal. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. I have a good friend who said earlier this week that "Georgia always chokes in the big games" and I couldn't disagree. It's become a punchline and part of the Georgia brand unfortunately.

“…we had the vastly more talented team”

This is a serious question - at what positions did you see “vastly more talent?” QB - no. WRs - no. O-Line - no. D-Line - even. D-Backs - no. LBs - yes.

    My opinion.

Yep. We’ve got a phenom TE in Bowers. He was the Only consistent positive I saw. And Even he can’t win the game all by himself.

Well I’m gonna Try to get some sleep. Sad sleep. But my fellow Dawgs fans, let’s Try as best we can to hold on to Hope. Maybe Kirby and staff can look at the film and get things back on track. I know we’re all super disappointed but maybe a better day is around the corner. Sometimes a team plays better with a chip on their shoulder. Well our Dawgs should have a bolder on theirs !! I don’t know what the answers are, wish I did. STILL Love our Dawgs though. Always have and Always will. Go Dawgs !!

The reason is the secondary cannot cover man to man unlike Auburn

He has built a team that can beat every team in the SEC East but when it comes to the West it often times is a different story be it LSU or Alabama. All the blow out games this year did not help prepare UGA for the post season

    My observations:

    1. Alabama's OL played their best game of the year. They even blocked our blitzes. That is why Young carved us up. This was supposed to be Alabama's Achilles heel. We certainly didn't exploit it.
    2. Our weak secondary was exposed because for the first time this year, our front seven didn't harass the QB. Young generally had all the time he needed.
    3. Alabama played a nickel defense most of the game. This confused Bennett and he repeatedly threw into coverage.
    4. We never established the running game.
    5. Our receivers (except for Bowers) just did not get open. Bennett, for the most part, had time to throw, but couldn't find an open receiver.

Once again, we were out-coached. Let's face it, Saban is a God. He can review tape, find your weaknesses and exploit them. Of course, the players have to play, but the coaches have to coach as well. And last night, we were out-coached and out-played.

Three plays that doomed us: 2 long passes for TD's and the pick 6 from Bennett. That's 21 points right there.

And now a little sour grapes. Was it just me or did Alabama's OL hold play after play and never get called for it?
