Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Sounds correct! Thanks for expounding on it!!
Sux that it's playoff time and all the drama is covid related. I get the concerns and precautions, but this just sux. I want our world back!!!!
Amen, pocoyo, amen!!
From Mike's article on the front page...
"Texas A&M shut down its prep for Wake Forest in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl (Dec. 31), per a Yahoo news story. Per the report, “TexAgs.com first reported that an outbreak hit mainly vaccinated athletes, and multiple position groups had been hit “particularly hard.”
So, there's that...
Not exactly the way anyone wants to be crowned National Champion. There will be an asterisk by it in the history books.
ditto
I'm sick of this bs.
Per @dawgnms
"After discussing among ourselves we Mods came to a consensus that 1 thread and 1 thread only for TEAM RELATED covid discussion.
No politics
No other covid vaccination topics/discussion allowed. Please stick to Team related or players/coaches. All other post will be deleted. Any other threads started will be merged here. We are merging all other threads here.
If this thread gets to far off the rails or alot of posts get deleted it will be closed and NO discussion will be allowed even if team related. Ball is in ya all's court.
Thanks in advance for understanding."
Lets stick to the Team covid issues please. We are trying to let ya all discuss this with limits or we can go back to no covid discussions at all. It is an important topic as it pertains to the Team and our run in the CFP.
Leash is already short.
Yup I bet team meetings have been moved outdoors or too very large very well ventilated areas. Have them watch film outside with a projector I don't care but definitely don't forfeit because too many people got infected
Read where 2 of Bama's assistant coaches have tested positive. O'Brien and Marrone.
Does anyone know what the criteria is for forfeiting the game? I assume that it is a minimum number of players but not sure if true or what the number is if that's the case.
I don’t remember the NCAA setting any criteria. Totally up to the School/AD/Head Coach as to numbers....
That makes the most sense. The coaches will decide if they have enough to play. If they believe they don't they'll forfeit, if they believe they do, they'll compete.
This is such a good point....I hadn't even thought about it this way. Makes no sense at all

On an interesting side note regarding A&M, they stated that they could only field 38 scholly players due to "covid, opt outs, transfers and season ending injuries."
Would be really interesting to see the number breakdowns to knock out 40 plus players. Swept under a rug most likely.
