The question is "Can Georgia beat Alabama?". The DEFENSE gave up 34 points. It's never all about one player at any level in any game.
He did play and he played very well
Do not care if it is Bennett, Daniels, Vandergriff or Beck. If it were Bennett to win the game for us, awesome. I hope it is. BUT play to WIN. Just like Saban did TWICE against UGA or he would have LOST TWICE, make a change if needed. END OF DISCUSSION. Anyone that says otherwise should not be listened to.
I do now this that when Bennett has to pass and the defense knows it, like when playing from behind. He throws INT's. That is the time for Daniels IMO. That is the time to make a change at QB. Defenses also do not respect Bennett's long balls so they will play the middle of the field harder than they would and they will look to jump routes and get the INT. If the game is close or UGA is ahead, fine. But if UGA is behind....Daniels BETTER BE READY. I am sure he will be but will Smart do what Saban did against him? Twice...make a change at QB? Just win baby and sometimes that means making a change at QB. Bama is also prepared for Bennett, not Daniels and his gun-slinging all the way down the field on every play if its open approach....conservative passing game or wide open? Pickens and Daniels also got rapport. Talk about opening the field up....putting some fear in the defense. They will not be bearing down hard on the short stuff with Daniels in the game. They will get burned sooner or later.
SB proving all his detractors wrong. Hope he does it one more time.
Saban went to a true freshman when we were beating the stuffing out of their vaulted starter. He picks them up and wins it for them. Then the starter is the kid who won the NC for them and we;re beating the stuffing out of him and OLe NIck puts in the starter who lost his job and he throws better thanever and wins the game. I hope we don't have to resort to anything that dramatic but it's not crazy to do it. It worked for NS twice against us. JUst say'in.
