WATCH: Voice of late Larry Munson narrarates UGA championship play
If you love the legendary UGA play-by-play announcer Larry Munson, then you’re going to love the video below.

ALLOT of Dawgs fans will have to be long since deceased before the legacy of Larry Munson will even begin to diminish some. He was one of a kind !! He’d have probably broke his chair, a steel chair on that INT !! Go Dawgs !!
If you are one of the lucky DAWG fans that had the privilege to listen to Larry when he called our games live, this video had to make you tear up, and smile at the same time. The only thing I have to say is, if he had really been calling the game, he would have made a unique, rememberable, classic, emotional, LEGENDARY call that epitomized the essence of that moment. Just like "hobnail", "run Lindsay run", "sugar falling from the sky", "hunker it down...one more time you guys" ....too many to mention. This video/audio just can't capture or predict what he would have said and that was the brilliance of Larry Munson. I don't want to take anything away from this, it is so good and amazing and I'm so grateful that the technology exists to honor the great Larry Munson. We miss you Larry; we know you're smiling and...if possible, you're lighting a victory cigar.
Munson was indeed one of a kind, best to ever call a game IMO, just soooo many legendary calls. I was listening to a few of them the other night and another UGA legend was mixed in with the Munson searches, another DGD, Lewis Grizzard. Dawgs and UGA have given me so many memories in my lifetime. Congrats to any and everyone connected with our program....
The first Georgia touchdown of the season was the pick 6. And the last Georgia touchdown of the season was a pick 6. Congratulations, soak it up and enjoy it. But be ready because now you're on the top of the mountain.
Just awesome! Many thanks to the people involved in the production of this video. Truly caught the best of and what we Dawg fans loved most about Larry— his unabashed, unapologetic homerism. The man loved the Dawgs as much as any fan!
Someone mentioned that Larry is probably lighting a cigar somewhere. I also like to think that Coach Erk is with him, butting heads with some player and yelling “GATA, you Junkyard Dawgs!”
The first thing Larry said at the start of his radio call was "Get the picture, now". And then he painted that picture of the game with his words. You didn't need a TV to "watch" the game, only a radio tuned to 960 AM The first, and only time my Mom went to a game she said she was so disappointed, that it was only a football game, that Larry Munson made it seem so much more. We know you're up there, Larry. Go, Dawgs!
Why did I get chills listening to that? Great job to whomever produced this!
Best thing I've heard (while watching a game) in, gosh... 10 years. Thanks for sharing. Go Dawgs!
Man I miss hearing that raspy voice Munson had! Just isn't the same now listening to the radio broadcast without Munson..a TRUE Legend..GoDAWGS!
I was lucky enough, and I did tear up listening to this. I'd bet ol Munson would be d-a-m-n proud of these DAWGS, and this tribute to him.
Amazing piece of work! There will never be another Larry Munson! God bless him and God bless the dawgnation!!
Wow!!!! Goosebumps! Love it!
You know you have someone special when you turned the TV sound off and listened to Larry on the radio play by play. We all did it and we all loved it!!!!!!!!
Every single game the DAWGS played on TV, the TV was turned down and the radio blaring Munsons voice on 960AM WRFC throughout the neighborhood!
