Glad to see another DGD come back to Athens! Bobo as an analyst is a home run.
Glad to see Coach Bobo back. Remember well his playing days at UGA-some great wins including the 1997 "Thunderdog" win over Florida which broke the drought against spurrier. Had a terrific season in 2014 as a UGA offensive coordinator with Hutson Mason as quarterback.
Great ties with Coach Smart and Coach Muschamp.

He and Kirby go way back. I did a lot of nail biting with Bob under Richt, but his overall record was pretty good. I hope this works out for him. Good team chemistry.
Hell yeah! Maybe we can open up the offense a little. I wonder though if that means monken is about to take an nfl oc job.
Bobo is a great recruiter…..of course the journalists totally miss that part of the story. Big ties to South Georgia and has recruited all over the southeast previously for the Dawgs.
Mike Bobo: He is widely known for his knack in grooming successful quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford, Aaron Murray, and David Greene. in 2012, Bobo was a finalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top college football assistant coach.
His last year at Georgia as OC his offense was No.1 in the SEC in scoring offense at 41.3 Points per game.
I'm not saying I want Bobo as the OC. But as an analyst, he's about as good as you could hope for.
Time heals all wounds for some,, but I seem to remember a love/hate relationship with Bobo and the fans with his play calling at times. But of course the more talent you have at your disposal, the better play caller you become, generally.
I guess they just pulled the Smith article, but I'll just add this. Hard to be a team leader when you have run-ins with the law.
This is the same guy who groomed Murray into an all time SEC leader in passing yards. Can’t imagine what he can do with our QB’s with the talent we have on the O side of the ball now. I liken this to the Muschamp hire from last year… never know how a preseason can pan out. Stock the roster and stock the coaching staff.
Awesome, welcome! I certainly wouldn't hire him as an offensive co-ordinator (hope we aren't losing any more coaches), but as an analyst/QB assistant? Absolutely.

“Great as an analyst but not as a coordinator.” That’s a good omen should Monken go to the NFL. These are the same “experts” that said JT is the best QB in the country (though he is not even rated in the top 10 QBs in the 2022 portal) and we can’t win a natty with Stet!

The same folks who bashed Bobo are the ones who today bash the “Mailman”. It’s clear you can’t please everyone. This is an amazing hire. Bobo is a great recruiter, QB coach, Offensive Coordinator, etc. Like Muschamp, Bobo can step in on a 5 minute notice and take over any aspect related to our offense. Also, he adds another former head coach (and loyal alumni) to our staff. That’s incredible. Go Dawgs!!!
I agree. Many were saying the same thing about Muschamp. His input seems to have worked out well. I think Bobo will be a positive addition as well.
