"UGA fans weren’t too thrilled with the big-armed quarterback, especially since he and backfield mate Knowshon Moreno departed Athens without ever winning any sort of championship."

Umm, ok Bill. I got a Dawg bone to pick with you here. Any reasonable (yes, there are some of us) Dawg fans know that our troubles during the Stafford years had very little to do with offense, and everything to do with defense. Specifically Richt's promotion of Willie Martinez to D coordinator spectacularly failed. Neither myself, or any other Dawg fan I've talked to ever thought less of Stafford or Moreno because of no titles. Nor did they blame them for it. They more a bright spot during some down(ish) years.

I'm sure you're correct that "reasonable" fans didn't blame Stafford or Moreno for the lack of championships. (Richt is another matter.) But, there are plenty of fans around who are not as reasonable as you, and they were pretty hard on Stafford at the time. I went back and looked at feedback the Blawg received from readers.

Well written and well punctuated. The latter is often neglected these days.
