    @MikeGriffith

I don't recall Fisher denying that Boosters set up an NIL fund. He denied that he or the University had anything to do with setting up NIL deals (as far as he knew).

In fact, he conspicuously omitted Boosters from his denial. This highlighted what he didn't say, more than what he did say. Wordplay at it's best. LOL. Oh, yeah...and he threw in an, "as far as I know". Typical political answer. Then he took an offensive posture to punctuate his incomplete denial, to dissuade further comment from other coaches.

Text book, but, I think a lot of people saw through the smoke screen. After the last 5-6 years of National political side-winding, we're trained to spot those things.

LOL....BAMA's gotta get by Texas A&M first. ARK and Tennessee are coming on strong and LSU is still LSU with Brian Kelly taking over... soooo, Alabama doesn't have a cake walk to the SECC or CFP anymore. And, they're not going to outclass A&M, going forward. This is gonna be interesting.

Apparently more water has got to spill over the dam on A&M boosters buying players. It appears as though that is what occurred.....suddenly they pull in the top commits??? Over Bama and UGA??? Really? 8-4 record? Does this open the floodgates to this sort of practice?

Amen, Brother. Tell it like it is. You know darn well there's no investigative reporting going on. I just wonder why so many "News" outlets are willing to turn their back on an obvious story and say..."Nothing to see here folks, just keep moving along. Jimbo said that he and the University have nothing to do with NIL...as far as he knows. So, that's it. He answered the question." And, OJ said he didn't kill Nicole Brown...and the checks in the mail.

My God, how gullible do they think the public is? No wonder politicians are still trying to get away with the same crap they did 20-30 years ago. I guess as long as nobody does anything about it and the press is willing to turn a blind eye, we have to eat dirt and like it. LOL

Oh well, UGA's the National Champion and that's all that counts...right now.

    Get em Dawgs.

Isn’t it interesting that, as soon as there’s a chance that Alabama is no longer dominant in the West, the SEC considers eliminating divisions? With no divisions, it suddenly allows a #1 and #2 to come from what is currently the West. Therefore, if A&M wins out, but Bama otherwise plays strongly, they’re still then eligible for a new-style SEC championship. Curioser and curioser… 🤔🧐😒

Guys, As they say, you're not a cheater unless you get caught.

Obviously, there are some commenters here that haven't researched A&M over the last few years. Texas A&M has gotten the #4, #6, and #8 recruiting classes the last 3 years. So, they have been in the recruiting Top 10, and from everything I have read and heard the fans and players love Jimbo. He's slowly building an elite program. Remember, he did beat Saban this season. Also remember, that Kirby was 8-5 his first year in 2016, and then the next year the Dawgs played for all the marbles and lost the Natty in OT while going a cool 13-2. It happens, so to speculate that the boosters or anyone else is cheating is just that - a guess. We all know Kiffen can't really recruit or coach when it comes to getting a program over the hump, so to hear those NIL comments about Jimbo and A&M is simply Lane being a jealous guy.

The fact that no one is insisting on the type of reporting you mention is borderline criminal, IMHO…

So, that translates to the best recruiting class in the modern recruiting matrix. Get real. You must be a Westee. LOL

There IS cheatin' going on now...there's NO doubt about it. It's just a lot easier to disguise than it used to be. That's what Fisher was saying. "If you think I'm cheating...prove it!" And, with the jello rules that exist...that's impossible.

So, UGA, BAMA, TENN, FLA...take notice. If you want to build a program in 2023, you better get on the NIL train or get left behind.

Oh, and Jackson State just happened to "Earn" the respect of the #1 recruit in America. Gotcha. 👍🤪

Actually, the SEC might be better off going that route. They could conceivably have 3 or even 4 teams in the playoffs, if they eliminate the SECC Game. With 16 teams (Texas & Oklahoma incl.), you could conceivably have 4 of the following qualify for the CFP without a Championship... UGA, BAMA, TEX A&M, TEX, OKLA, FLA, TENN, MISS, MIZZOU, ARK, AUB or LSU. Those are 12 of the best and richest programs in the Country, bar none. And, with the talent that runs through those schools, the elite coaching staffs and the resources they wield, they could own all 4 spots at some point, if everybody does away with divisions and Conference Championships.

The other 4 Conferences are dealing from a position of weakness, with zero leverage. They can continue to pretend to negotiate if they want to, but, the SEC is their Daddy and their Conference Commissioners and School Presidents/ADs either know it or should know it. The longer they procrastinate, the harder it's going to be, for their Universities to catch up and their fanbases to digest the inevitable outcome. Or....they can continue to wallow in mediocrity. Please see Michigan in the CFP Orange Bowl vs UGA as an example.

Like my Dad used to say,..."make it light on yourself".
