Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

The best the Dawgs could do --- clean background, NCAA tourney history, good rep -- not sure how much more qualified of a coach UGA would get.

Agree with all of that. And if he pulls in Jonas then that’s a win all the way around!
Lol hoop Dawgs
I hope he can get things going in the right direction. He is family now.
Yes, behind him 100%!!! ………(at least he’s not Mullen or Grantham)
One of my good friends and a neighbor is a sports psychologist who worked with Mike White during his tenure at UF. I would, at time, consult with my friend about various ways to implement his sport psychology ideas into the UF practices. As a result, I know a bit about Mike White. He is very solid, down to earth kind of guy who looks out for his players. Character wise, the Dawgs have hired a very good man. How that translates into wins and job security is anybody's guess. He has recruited some good players at his time at UF but I don't think he's done much in the Atlanta area. Hopefully an assistant (maybe Jonas Hayes) can help with that. I think his head assistant hire is going to be critical for him. I know he's a hard worker and will expect the same from his staff and team. My fingers are crossed and I wish him the best.
Thanks for the info. Hopeful but he sounds like Mark Fox
Give this guy a chance Dawg fans. If he does anywhere near what he accomplished at floriduh he should have a statue erected in Athens.
What? He has won more NCAA games in one tourney than Foxy has won in his life!
All I know is my mental state approaching every football game is to win and hopefully win big. My approach to watching basketball is hoping not to be too embarrassed by the loss. If Mike White can change that mindset it will be considered a win in my book.
