Georgia QB Stetson Bennett in control of Scrimmage Two, elevates pass game
Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett had another strong outing in the Bulldogs’ second scrimmage of the spring on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.

Sounds as if Mims is a goner!
Please only report facts instead of speculative rumors.
I think Mike saw that Mims was missing from scrimmage altogether and married it with the outside speculation Mims is unhappy with the progress he feels he deserves as a 5 star lineman and therefore may be opening the transfer portal door. Remember, Mims was also injured. Why would he opt for the portal on an injury?
@UGA66 Nah, that's not the sort of idle speculation you throw out there because a kid misses a scrimmage.
rumors, innuendos, speculation, opinions........or, if there is no controversy, he will create it. Facts have no place in his reporting.
Eagerly awaiting his next Stetson Bennett post.
This was a very good article. It covered a lot of ground about the second scrimmage, with good sourcing and direct quotes. And actually, it was chock full with facts.
Only the second-to-last paragraph mentioned the speculation about Mims -- which in itself is a fact. I appreciate @MikeGriffith writing candidly but also giving that speculation the light weight it deserves.
I hope the Mims talk is just talk or, if it isn't, that he decides to stay. He's lined up for a huge career as a Bulldog.
But Georgia fans don't have to be snowflakes. This isn't Putin's Russia, where only favorable news is allowed.
Agree
LOL...What? Are you Mike's Brother or something? You don't have to take up for the guy. We can read.
Truthfully, @MikeGriffith usually calls it like he sees it on kids that appear to have one foot out the door...and, so far, he's been right on most, if not all of them. If he says Mims is looking at the portal, you can probably take it to the bank. Ain't no idle chit chat. LOL
One thing about it....younguns like Mims need to hold on to that transfer, until they really need it. They only get to do it once, without sitting out a year. Take the great coaching available at UGA and wait for the picture to get a little clearer. He could be only an injury away from starting next year...if he doesn't win a starting job this Fall. I.e., the season ending injury to Ratledge on the 3rd play from scrimmage against Clemson, last year opened the door for Jones to see the field a little sooner than he probably would have, otherwise.
Looks like Mike was right!
