ATLANTA BRAVES! Defending World Champions!
Opening Day all you Braves-Dawgs fans! Chop on!
Are you guys and gals excited or what!?
Comments
I know, right!? HR hitters throughout! Dansby’s hitting ninth with 27 Homers last year! Great post!
Go Braves!
Braves finally on the board!
Well, it didn't go well but its only one game.
didn't we lose our opener last year ?
Sure did-lost the first three to the Phillies! Hope always springs eternal.
I love the makeup of this team this year unlike the injury-ridden, slow start the Braves had last year. I think our lineup will cause multiple problems to teams this year. Truly excited!
Go Braves!
Morton was awesome last night pitching 5 1/3 innings, retired the first 12 batters he faced, 2 hits, 1 run scored, 5 strikeouts…….and recovering from a broken leg in the playoffs!
Looks like he’s back!
Go Braves!
Re-watching the ring ceremony before the Cincinnati game yesterday. That championship ring is simply amazing! It has:
A total weight of 18.71 Karat white gold marking the first year the Braves started as the longest continuing operating franchise in the MLB, 150 total diamonds around the center “A” logo of the Braves marking the 150th anniversary of the Braves franchise, 755 total diamonds remembering The Hammer’s total HRs and 44 emerald cut diamonds in remembrance of Mr. Aaron’s retired number 44.
The ring opens up to reveal the stadium with working lights (first World Series ring to have them) , 11 rubies in that stadium marking the landing spots of the 11 home runs hit by the Braves during the World Series and, to show the uniqueness of the team and it’s players, it has a “pirate sword “ carved in it remembering Herredia’s red plastic sword he brandished in the clubhouse as well as a single pearl in a carving of the World Series trophy remembering Joc Pederson’s pearl necklace and the sensation it caused! There is a bejeweled red tomahawk and the words “For the A”! And, finally, there is a #1 which has six jewels in it which has to be an homage to Bobby Cox’ retired #6!!
Edited: okay, there were seven jewels in the #1, not 6, but I like my thought better! LOL!!
Just an amazing work of art honoring the Braves, the city of Atlanta and the World Series of 2021! As Brian Snitker said, “ You guys are World Champions for the rest of your lives!”
Here’s to the repeat! Let’s “do it again!”
Let’s go Braves!
Thanks for posting this! Awesome!
Go Braves!
Braves needed that blowout last night. Got some confidence back in those bats. Fried going today.
A 16-4 beatdown! Awesome display!
Fried needs to have a strong outing now to get back in the swing of things after his opening day outing.
Morton, Wright and Elder have pitched the best so far. Need Fried and Anderson to step up!
Go Braves!
surely you aren't worried about Freid?
Of course not. And it is early, just saying that we need him to round into form.
Matt Olson: .409 avg, .567 OBP, 1.203 OPS
Freddie Freeman: .250 avg, .348 OBP, .698 OPS
We can definitely say Olson is better than Freddie after 20 at bats right?
