This kid looks really good at DB! Great recruit. The likes of his dad, former UGA great Marcus Washington. With early enrollment, he looks serious. Welcome.

We may just have trumped any DB we could have gotten through the transfer portal.

Even including the players who've already committed to new schools, Washington graded out below only Eli Ricks compared to all 2022 transfer-portal defensive backs , according to On3.

Washington's physical promise is pretty impressive: 10.76 in 100m and 44f3i in the triple jump.

It's true that he's behind the transferring players by at least two years in experience. But the thin pickings that remain at DB in the portal (and almost every DB who entered the portal aside from Ricks) were way less coveted as recruits at this stage. Plus, he grew up in a football family.

In addition, you got believe that one or two of those five high recruits will shine as a freshman (a la Tyson Campbell). At the very least, Everett already looks like he can contribute.

Now, all we gotta do is convince Jordan Addison (against steep odds), and we'll have gotten more than what we needed during the transfer season! ;-)

Here let me sum it up without even reading this. It means adding another good young player and that increases the odds that one or some of the youngest players may possibly be able to contribute to the defensive backfield in 2022. And that also bodes even better for their starting chances in 2023. More players and depth=better odds 1 or 2 of them can rise above the others. Numbers.
