Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

3 things from Georgia board meeting: Hot tickets, Cocktail Party update, $300 million goal
GREENSBORO — Georgia football has always been a hot ticket, and a closer look at the record-$162.2 million UGA athletics budget shows why.

Move the game out of J'ville!!!!!!!
If you ask me, Josh Brooks is underpaid. That man is building a Dawg empire. Sports is BIG business at UGA...especially football. Josh is beginning to strongly upgrade the facilities across the board...slowly but surely. Fund raising goal of $300 mil. is attainable. Glad he held ticket prices static. I'd like to see the UGA/FL tilt back home to home as well.
All of this is hard to imagine, cause back in my era, UGA couldn't afford a decent bench for players to sit on. Amazing, here I am talking about hundreds of millions of dollars invested for football alone. Yeah, I am an old Dawg,
If Auburn is $5 million every two years and UF is $7 million every two years, the math just doesn’t add up to keep the game in Jacksonville. UF would be more lucrative in ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions. Maybe not $2 million more, but factoring in an extra recruiting weekend with recruits seeing the sun go down over the Sanford Stadium west end zone with the beautiful scoreboard showing another Gator thrashing and the stadium lit 🔥 for the fourth quarter (assuming a 3:30 start), the value would be immeasurable!
UGA owes nothing to the city of Jacksonville which has been making out like bandits at the Dawgs expense for decades! Bring UF to Athens ASAP!
If UF played in Athens, that game would be worth more than the Auburn game. Your approach is accurate and shows that it makes even more $ sense to move to a home-and-home with UF.
