That's why he's a unicorn. LOL. Can you imagine getting hit by him after he's gotten a full head of steam? He'd jar your teeth, for sure. I believe, like William "The Fridge" Perry was the first 300 plus pounder we saw in the NFL, with the Bears....2nd and 3rd level defenders are getting bigger, without sacrificing speed and quickness. Body type has also changed on offense, at the QB and TE positions.
I attribute all of this, to much improved knowledge of body building and nutrition, as well as kids being introduced to these training programs at younger and younger ages. Training for football is creeping into the same kind of year round dedication, at a pre-puberty age, that activities such as gymnastics, ballet, swimming and competitive ice skating have long been accustomed.
Sports medicine and football has come a long, long way since the steroid '70's & '80's.
