- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

What is this nonsense about Stet?
Could Arch Manning's commitment to Texas cost Stetson Bennett his job? (msn.com)
First of all there is no theory that Stet was just a placeholder for Manning. Literally NOBODY has ever suggested that.
Second, no...you don't bench your NC MVP QB just because some backups have more stars or because they might be the starter next year. Nobody does that. You play to win the next game.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!
click bait
Mike working overtime to find a new angle for a QB controversy.
“First of all there is no theory that Stet was just a placeholder for Manning. Literally NOBODY has ever suggested that.”
Ageed!! Since when was it a journalist’s job to invent news!?
It's not clickbait...it's an actual article based on comments made by our own UGA beat writer.
Yeah, not sure what the definition of clickbait is.
The two DJs were interviewing Mike G. and he said what he said. This was not an article that Mike was writing wherein insider sources were quoted.
It's always sound advice to consider the source.
Which source needs to be considered!? The interviewing DJs from a local ATL talk FM radio sports talk station or Mike G. , a journalist on the DawgNation beat!?
Not sure why this got moved to "Off Topic".
Rehashing same thing using different wording here

Because we don't have a "garbage" category" lucky I didn't kill the link. Keep rehashing the same old stuff over and over and over, Stet is QB ONE until proven otherwise
Okay, thanks!

I understand and agree....but I was hoping @MikeGriffith would participate in this one and explain his comments. This is a legit issue and our UGA beat writer keeps rehashing the same old QB controversy stuff. I didn't make this up. It's national news I found at 247.
I don't see a connection.
So what, let Mike keep baiting everyone by rehashing something he has already said, got a rise out of you over something that he previously stated, which is nothing but click bait you saw on a pay click bait site (247)
of course you don't and I didn't expect you to
You lost me on that. Nowhere in that article does Mike suggest that maybe since Manning isn't coming here we should consider starting Beck or BVG because Stet is just a placeholder. Come on, this is interesting stuff that I'd like Mike to explain a little more. There is no QB controversy. Everyone knows it. So why did Mike create this theory?
WTH is going on? Why are you so defensive? I thought we were free to discuss UGA football here. The thread you posted has nothing to do with Mike's recent radio interview theory.
Not defensive sorry Mike suc ked you in again
@pgjackson @dawgnms
First off -- I was asked about it, I didn't bring it up.
Second, Listen to the audio -- I clearly said there are all sorts of theories about how the QB deal could go down.
But it's a very simple concept: If all things are equal, do you play the younger guy because Stet is done after this year and Beck / Brock / Gunner are coming back?
Do you have a little shorter leash knowing there is value in giving the QB of the future more reps this year.
Before, Arch Manning was probably gonna be your guy -- and as I said in that interview, he still might be, it's not over until he signs.
I didn't write a story on this -- I was asked about it in an interview and THEY wrote the headline and the story.
Kirby has said many times he trusts all his QBs.
But as I said in the interview, I think Stet will start, I just wonder if this shifts the thinking on how long you stay with him if the other QBs are performing as well.
