I bet “The Alliance” is about to crash and burn lol.
I really don't consider USC or UCLA as a powerhouse. IMHO: They are mediocre at best which pretty much sums up the Big 10 overall as a football conference,
@ScoreCheck Check those TV market sizes --- that represents a lot of cashflow come the next contract, and more money to spend on coaches and players. They may not be powerhouses on the field at the moment, but they are powerhouses when it comes to their market value. Worth noting USC has shown us great upside more than one in that school's history, as evidenced by their Heisman Trophy case.
I don’t think this affects the SEC much at all, I think this is just a counter move to what the SEC did last year in adding UT and OU! B10 is just trying to be the #1 conference, but won’t, they are a solid #2 conference, really the only other conference that I watch that have good games.
They would say the same about you. Especially USC.
Wow. Too bad the Big 12 has already expanded. Otherwise, the remainder of the Big 12 would have been able to join up with the remainder of the Pac-12.
When was the last time USC was relevant in football? Easy to be top dog in a WEAK Pac12 conference, and USC can't even do that. Pac12 hasn't put ANY team in the CFP in a few years, and the last Pac12 team to do that wasn't USC. It was another "powerhouse" from the pac12..Washington in 2016.
TV rating "powerhouses" I agree with that. But on the field they are far from being "powerhouse" teams.Last Pac12 team to make the CFP was Washington in 2016. And they showed they didn't belong in the CFP either, after a 24-7 loss.
Breaking News: The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars plan to join the SEC in 2023. 😁
If so, Vandy will no longer be the SEC doormat 😂
USC joining the Ohio St conference. That could get interesting.
They should take Vandy with them. Vandy would fit right in.
The Pacific coast area does not give a rip about college football! Just like the northeast!
