I’m not so worried about our secondary. We have talent and will be coached very well.
Like you though, I’m concerned about playing teams with a strong passing game. An elite passing team can potentially give any secondary a hard time. It will take all levels of the D performing great to shut down a truly elite passing team. I’m aware that that line of thinking is very cliche, but it doesn’t make it less true.
I'll go with that! Good call.
Talented for sure but unproven. Won't know what we have until the season starts.
IF Tykee Smith is fully recovered from his injuries, he along with Ringo, Christopher Smith, William Poole and Dan Jackson bring outstanding talent and experience in the aggregate. Kamari Lassiter, Javon Bullard, David Daniel, Nyland Greene, Daylen Everett, Julian Humphrey, Jaheim Singletary, Marcus Washington Jr, Jacory Thomas and Malachi Starks all bring a tremendous amount of upside to the unit and they'll be just fine, but it's the work that Jalen Carter and company does up front that's gonna determine the ceiling of this Defense as a whole in what should be another extremely salty unit led by Muschamp and Schuman.
Agreed. I’m cautiously optimistic
Why the fixation wiith ‘shoot outs’? That just isn’t, and never has been, Georgia football. Perhaps change teams and root for Ohio State? 🤷🏻♂️
It's certainly plausible that Georgia could find itself in a shootout at some point over even multiple points in the season but there's absolutely nothing to suggest that Georgia couldn't thrive in that type of game so the spector of Georgia having to go out and outscore somebody doesn't concern me a bit considering what we're returning on Offense and both sides of the ball really because our Defense can and will score.
they are similar players
Pasing attempts per TD:
Young - 11.6
Zappe - 11
Stroud - 10
Pickett - 11.8
Rogers - 18.9
Hartman - 13
Bennett - 9.8
Interesting
Did I say this before? 🤣
I am predicting a breakout year for both Bennett and the Georgia offense—potential for total dominance! Waiting to see, but this, to me, is the most interesting possible story for 2022. 😉
Flag this $h1t and make fun of me later if I am entirely wrong…
Well just let us know how you really feel! LOL preach it brother preach it !
Man, this article looks even worse now than it did back in July. Placeholder to Heisman candidate...just like that.
Yeah… @MikeGriffith has definitely been a Stetson doubter, though not in the irrational fashion displayed by some others. On the flip side, I have to concur with Brandon Adams’s past oberservations that, while playing well and showing signs of greatness, Bennett previously failed to do what was necessary to silence his critics. However, last Saturday Bennett definitely did much to answer his critics. I hope and believe he will continue to do so this season. Goooo Dawgs!
