ATHENS — Kirby Smart said it has been a good fall camp for his Georgia Bulldogs, but that doesn’t mean he will be comfortable entering the Oregon game.

UGA will have its cleats to the fire next weekend. Smart is right...you really have to play the first game to know exactly what you have. It better be enough to send the Ducks quacking back to Oregon. I have UGA 10 pts over the ducks. Very young bunch of Dawgs out there....talented yes, but inexperienced in real time on field against an opponent. Carter, N Smith and others can help with leadership. Stetson will do his part. I feel confident with Stets. Hopefully the playbook will be a whole new look for Lanning. He is a motivator and his "Ducks will be in a row.," But the Dawgs will eat'em alive.
This is why you come to Georgia, to play in these big games. Go get 'em, Dawgs!
“Georgia lost an NFL-record 15 players to the draft in addition to 13 players to the transfer portal, including four former starters.” REALLY?
Look, I get it. Those of us who are here regularly have heard that line. Many. Many. Times.
But.
That’s not how this sort of writing works. One thing they have to consider is the newcomer, and certain points need to be rehashed, particularly when there’s a lull in actual action, and n the assumption that there’s someone new reading the work.
That’ll change when things get going, but even then, we’ll have recap after recap of significant events. It can be frustrating, but it’s not anything like poor or lazy journalism.
