Georgia had not started a true freshman in the opening game of the season since 2018 when Tyson Campbell accomplished the feat. The Bulldogs have signed a top-4 recruiting class in the past four recruiting cycles, but none of those touted recruits had been able to find immediate playing time.

Williams is living up to his 5-star hype. The Travon Walker comparison spells good things from Willaims as the season wears on.
There are monster talents roaming the field every time Georgia plays - these guys are scary good on paper and watching them play is a joy - the standard at Georgia is high and so is the talent - and the coaching is off the charts! The dawgs have the right mix of everything. GO DAWGS!
He's a freshman one game into college football. He's being compared to Travon Walker!
Maybe Buddy Holly will write a song about him.

He’s gonna be very good ,, but he will have a few growing pains
Mykel Williams will be great, a Consensus All American, much sooner than later....a young man blessed with intelligence, and natural ability combined with a superior work ethic and humility as described by a coach with the resume of Kirby Smart....Mykel is most definitely a generational talent !
