While national media lauds Georgia football, Kirby Smart ‘focused on how we can get better’
Many had expected Georgia to take a slight step backwards this season, what with the Bulldogs losing 15 players to the NFL draft from last season’s championship team.

I am with Kirby...keep getting better......the past is the past. He has a great game by game approach. It works. He is not letting up against Samford either. I think he said at one point...every game is faced as a championship game....true. Each team is assessed individually...and played against accordingly.
Declaring any team as they have arrived at this point is premature. Every Media outlet did that last year, when they crowned Alabama as National Champions before the first game was even played.
Alabama almost lost two in the regular season and really should have.
Simply put, Georgia lost too much talent to be expected to repeat. At least that's what history shows. Alabama returned more and lost far less talent.
The defense will likely take a step back, it almost has to. The offense will be better, but what's the tradeoff?
If and it's a giant if, Georgia does win the National Championship again, after losing "the most talent maybe ever" to the NFL, it will be time to start asking, is this the start of a dynasty. That's how unlikely a repeat would be after losing so much talent.
BAMA did lose one, to Texas A&M. Al.ost lost to FLA, LSU, AUB and ARK. TENN gave em s run for there money.
And, this year will be no exception. I fully expect them to lose at least 1 regular season game. Possibly 2 or 3, depending on how they handle the first loss. Having so many transfer players, that haven't been through the Saban treatment, is an unknown variable. How will they respond to the Rat Poison of victory and adversity of defeat? That's the question.
I expect BAMA to experience some of that adversity in Texas Saturday. If they lose...the wheels could come off of their program in 2022. If they win big...look for a "Rat Poison" infused let-down, soon. The best thing that could happen for Bama, is close, hard fought victory.
