Georgia coach Kirby Smart made a very clear statement when speaking after Saturday’s win over Oregon. He wants his offense to be one that players love to play in. Specifically, prospective recruits.

All well and good, but unfortunately, many of the teams we're going up against for these remaining top-level recruits (Alabama, Ohio State, Florida) also had successful games Saturday, and they got to play in frenzied home environments that many recruits could experience in person. I think OSU had like what, a dozen uncommitted 5-stars in Columbus for the Notre Dame game? So it's not like UGA did what it did Saturday in a vacuum. If we can somehow get that wide receiver out of Fort Lauderdale, I'd gladly call it a win for the recruiting season. Come on Coach McClendon. Go Dawgs!
I love this offense. Unlike most, you have no idea what play's coming next. It's very versatile and everybody gets to play a part.
Hard to believe some of these elite skill recruits aren't taking notice. Time to buy Todd Monken - UGA offense stock!

Kirby built a national championship team starting with defense:
First priority: Getting bigger and more physical on the lines-of-scrimmage. Check
Next: We need to be faster and more athletic at the linebacker position. Check
Next: We need more length and athleticism in the defensive backfield. Check
When negative recruiting was at a fever pitch concerning Kirby’s only use of his TEs was to block, he put together the best TE room in college football. Check
Now: Kirby wants an explosive, fun offense that will attract top shelf, blue chip playmakers. Who in their right mind will doubt Kirby?
Great point DD. UGA has very few premier game opportunities to home recruit each year. No UGA/OR or UGA/FU recruiting this year. Missing big opportunities to WOW recruits.
If a bunch of 5 stars were in Columbus for that snoozer, I think that bodes well for us. I see your point, but our recruiting seems to be just fine. I'm more worried about the uncapped free agency that is NIL than any trip to Columbus Ohio.
