Thank you Lord! A Stinger is workable but does require some time off. He may or may not be back by this weekend.

    Best of luck healing Robert!

Yes, I was praying all weekend that it was only a stinger for Beal. I "thought" that might be the case when I saw him jogging on his own to the locker room and CBS said he had a neck injury. I assumed then, that if it was a serious neck injury, they wouldn't have let him be on his feet. Hopefully, there is no swelling, the pain goes away and we can get him back this Saturday or next. Now, if we can get Mims and Truss healthy, as well as those backup D-linemen who had the flu, so that Jalen Carter doesn't haven't to extend himself down the stretch. I've quit even thinking about A.D. Mitchell being able to play. In my mind, he's a glorified cheerleader. Go Dawgs!

    What is a stinger?

Basically it's a pinched or stretched nerve. Shooting electrical pain. Usually brief, but not always.

The fact that he feels good is a very good sign.

    Go, Dawgs!

So proud of the team! More physical than I've seen. Coach Smart shows his class by not trying to get sympathy with the press, by harping on a "part of the game". So many of the guys played excellent ball with dings...Go Dawgs!

Great news! So glad for Beal - he has been with the team so long and I know he wants to be out on the field as much as possible building that NFL resume...these guys work so hard - Kirby is a taskmaster - I don't mean that in a negative way, that is what makes this team so great. But, these guys work as hard or harder than any in college football. As Kirby likes to say "Practice hard so game day is easy!". Looking forward to the rest of this season and what lies ahead for the dawgs in the post season. GO DAWGS!

"Smart added he’s “hopeful” that Mitchell, Mims and Truss can all play this week." I will go with this from, Kirby. He did not mention Beal in this remark. You can feel good with a stinger until it zaps you is what I am taking from the Beal status. Not likely to play. Dawgs are looking good for Miss State tilt.

Kirby has been "hopeful" re: AD for over a month. Thank goodness Arian is back near 100%.

AD Mitchell "could have gone back in" if we needed him was the line after the Samford game.

I get he suffered another injury between Samford and USC, but at this point, I will believe it when I see it.

Good news on Beal. He is a great player and we need the depth for the long haul. I’m just hopeful now that we get AD back for the SEC Championship game and playoffs. Maybe he has the Pickens effect that we had lst year.

The OL may have been a case of addition by subtraction. I don’t want any of our players to be hurt and we need the depth, but without the liberal substitution, the OL had its best game in my opinion. There was very little pressure on Bennett and the run blocking may have been the best of the year.

My concern is that IF we get AD back at this point, he is unlikely to be at the top of his game after so many weeks out of the action. 😐

When is AD gonna be back?????

8+ weeks for a high ankle sprain?

Something just isn’t right about that.

This offense needs him on the road the next two weeks, THAT I am sure of.

    GO DAWGS!!!

Completely understand that concern. The hope is if you can get him back before playoffs he could get a few in game reps similar to Pickens (although I admit he is no Pickens). Then over the next few weeks he could work on timing and conditioning to hopefully pull the secondary back some to losen up those shorter throws as they were earlier in the season.
