Ladd McConkey shouldn’t surprise anyone after Mississippi State showing: ‘He’s a stud’
STARKVILLE, Miss., — Mississippi State had absolutely no answer for Ladd McConkey on Saturday night. On a Georgia team that is as loaded as any in the country, it couldn’t stop a player who had scholarship offers from just Vanderbilt and Georgia coming out of high school.

Ladd had a great game. He runs good routes and knows how to set up the DB. Great blocking on the long run for Ladd.
It's fun watching the chess-match between Todd Monken and the Defensive coordinators. If they put an extra man on Brock Bowers, Monken is ready to adjust. Now, they'll try and take Ladd away, and Monken will have an answer ready.
Love watching this young man play and have to laugh each time they show him with his helmet on. He looks like a teenager but plays like a grown man.
McConkey was fabulous yesterday! Probably wouldn't have won the game without his spectacular play.
Still wondering where Blaylock has been the last few games. He's on the sidelines but not playing. And everyone was so concerned about Arian Smith coming back and yet he was targeted zero times yesterday.
I have never witnessed a football program at any level where players absolutely revel in the success of their teammates and rather than be glory hogs, deflect attention from themselves and make a concerted effort to acknowledge the efforts of their teammates that lead to the success of a particular play. The culture Kirby has brought to this program is a pleasure to watch!
"statically surpassed"?
Big Bad Ladd!
GO DAWGS!
We have so many weapons. Dawgs are exciting to watch! Keep it going, Dawgs!
GO DAWGS!
NEXT!
This is soooooo true. I think it’s a critical reason why the Dawgs can do “next man up” just about better than anyone, especially after a generational loss of talent to the NFL. It’s probably also why they don’t panic in-game when the stuff hits the fan as it did with Kent State, Mizzou, and MSU. There’s a level of trust in this team that starts with CKS and seems infused throughout the team…
Happiest man on the field when BB caught his first TD pass was DW! Go Dawgs!
