Playing under adverse conditions will be an advantage for the Dawgs in any game! I expect to see some boss UGA parkas on the sidelines keeping the guys warm and loose. Kind of the opposite of taking his own a/c units to South Cackalaky, can't wait to see how Coach Smart responds to the cold weather. GO DAWGS!

Best defensive performance by far this season was against the Vols. And that came down to mostly 3 things: Jalen Carter, being able to cover their WRs one-on-one, and the most important reason....tackling. That was the best tackling performance that I've ever seen from a Dawg's defense. Just outstanding from start to finish. The tackling wasn't as good against State.

These last few games are a good time to get more reps at Corner for the young guys. They need a higher pitch count to get ready for next season.

The Dawgs are prepped for this one.....bring on KY. UGA defense will push KY all over the"yard." QB Levis will feel like he is in a cement mixer. Be sure to suit-up your back-up QB, KY. Jalen Carter and Smael Mondon....."is it Saturday yet?" Physical is UGA...you get physical with the Big Dawgs and you will lose.

Not going to be alot of passing if it's cold and windy. Either side perhaps. Going to be trench warfare. Hope our run game can blow open some holes or it's going to be a long game. Go Dawgs!

Okay time for a dose of reality. UGA is #1 and should be the favorite to win it all. But it is far from a lock. CKS should be calling JCarter into his office this week and tell him that he will see spot duty in 3rd and long situations only this week. AND that he will sit out the GT game next week. The next meaningful game for UGA is LSU. As I said last summer Carter is THE difference maker on this team.

Went back and watched the MS St game last night. The Defense was more bend but don't break in the 2nd half. (5 pt lead at halftime) The beginning of the 4th Q MS St went on a 5+ min drive. 3 (4?) times on that drive (4th Q?) OPEN MS St wr's dropped passes including an open TD. This D effort was against an unranked 1 dimensional team. D is good but they'll need to stay healthy and play better than they did vs MS St.

In the game SBIV reverted some to his '21 penchant for throwing the ball up for grabs. He threw the ball up for grabs a few times in the 1st half AND 3-4 times in the 3rd Q on the drive between the 70 yd McConkey run and the 17 yd McConkey TD reception. It will be interesting to see if this continues or if he gets another lesson from CKS.

Also, CKS was either protecting SBIV or Monken when he said the 3rd down (incomplete pass) play that forced the punt (return TD) right before the half was " option for run or pass" play. On that play UGA lined up w/an empty backfield and 5 wides. Kinda hard to run out of that formation.

No rat poison in that game. Lots of coaching opportunities for CKS from the MS St tape. Including more head scratching play calling by Monken. Other than #84's 70 yd run UGA averaged 3.4 ypc. And got repeatedly stuffed in short yardage (play calling?).

As for KY the hope is to not get beat up too bad in a physical game and certainly not to lose anyone long term. Hence limiting JCarter's snaps.

A couple of fumbles of a cold, slick ball and a wind aided INT and all of a sudden LSU is not the next “meaningful game”.

Playing and practicing in fear of injury is a page out of CMR’s playbook. I think I will trust CKS to do what is necessary to play for real championships rather than Belk Bowl Championships.

Reminds me some of the KY game few years ago in Athens when we played in a hurricane. I think the score was like 10-7.

Win or lose the next 2 games and UGA is still in the SECCG. Win the SECCG and UGA is in the PO. That makes the next meaningful game LSU. Overplaying guys in these 2 games when they should be relatively easy wins, even with back up players, would be dumb. Putting a championship at risk to play JCarter vs GT would be beyond dumb.

Tough guys on this team, ready for all the challenges ahead - not cocky, but confident in themselves and their teammates. That's the Georgia way! GO DAWGS!

"As for the secondary, the simplest explanation is Chris Smith." And that is the truth.

" They’re relishing the chance to take the field and steamroll a physical Kentucky team.

When you play as well as you have in recent weeks against Tennessee and Mississippi State, it’s easy to see that."

Well, said, Mr. Riley, well said!Could not agree more!

Any time we can play physical and steamroll an SEC opponent, I am on board!!

    Go Dawgs! Hate on Cats!
