Florida spring break help
Likely headed to Florida Spring.
Our Spring break is early. First week of March.
Don’t want to go to Panhandle (30A) or Keys. Already done that too often.
Prefer gulf side but would do Atlantic.
Resort suggestions?

Indian Harbour Beach!
We are headed to Cape San Blas this summer. Haven’t been there before but heard great things. If you look at it on the map, depending on where you stay…you get those California style ocean sunsets.
Cape San Blas is great if you like beach houses, not aware of any resorts there. Beautiful beach and great fishing. However the weather in March can still be iffy and there is not a whole lot else in the area. Or wasn't 2-3 years ago which is the last time I was there. I love that whole area from Cape San Blas to Gulf Shores but never stayed at a resort there .
palm coast cinnamon beach resort. You will thank me once you been there. Don’t let anyone else know🤣
Yeah we will be in a house. Missed that resort part
Tex, just a few questions to help with suggestions.
What activities are you interested in ? Fishing, golf, boating etc. Pet friendly ? How many in your group, for how long, and most importantly, what's your budget. Resorts are your best bet dollar wise as home rentals have gone through the roof due to the crazy rise in home insurance costs.
Recently sold my St George Island property and the new owner is paying almost 4 times what I was in insurance and taxes. Everyone has had to double and triple their rental fees just to keep up with the cost of ownership. And that is if you can even find a carrier to cover your property as so many have pulled out of the FL market.
💯 agree.
Golf, beach no pets.
Believe 9 in the group. 3 dads, 3 moms and 3 HS senior boys
Budget probably not an issue
Not your typical resort - and it doesn’t offer golf - it’s more about boating and fishing - but Black’s Island is in the middle of Port St. Joe Bay between CSB and the mainland.

We love the Cape San Blas/Port St. Joe area. Quiet area with beautiful waters, white sand, pet-friendly beaches. All the beauty of 30A towns farhter west, without the congestion. The town of Port St. Joe is about 10 miles away and has some nice restaurants downtown and a Piggly Wiggly. Only a 30-minute drive east to Appalachicola, which has a quaint downtown area and some great oyster places rigth on the water wher the boats come in with their catches. Less than 50 miles to Panama City if you need to get out for a day trip to see some college kids acting ****!
Be sure to hit the Indian Pass Raw bar about 5 miles east on 30A for self-serve beer, raw and roasted oysters and local music.
So get a house in IHB. 6 Great golf courses within 8 miles 2 between the beach and the rivers and 4 mainland. And, as the other poster stated, don't tell anybody else.
Good stuff thanks bro!
Ha, I was over in Po Joe this AM to pick up some lumber and paint for a pre spring porch project I'm starting. Been down here in Apalach for the past 8 years so should anyone want a tip or two about the area please pm me.
"Budget probably not an issue"
😎 Nice, that opens up quite a few possibilities for you. I know you crossed off the Keys but for a no budget issue trip the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada is one of my favorite go to spots. Over the years I've been very fortunate to have traveled much of Florida, especially the coast. Now that I'm one of those cheap, no income, old guys I tend to prefer the less crowded areas. That said the Palm Coast suggestions are great. Not too crowded (for FL at least) and quite a few options for golf. Waters not the Keys or 30A but the beaches are very nice. Only hassle might be getting there. If you can get a flight to Daytona that would be the ticket otherwise you're probably looking at Jacksonville and close to a 2 hour drive.
Advice for the Atlantic side: We go to the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club every summer and love it. Just south of Jacksonville. Great golf and beaches. Not far from St. Augustine either. Grew up going to St. Simons/Sea Island. Still love that place! Beautiful with lots of history and great eats!
