Jacob Hood becomes third former Georgia football player to transfer to Nebraska
Another Georgia football player has found a new home, as offensive lineman Jacob Hood announced he would be transferring to Nebraska on Monday. He becomes the third former Bulldog to do so this offseason, joining MJ Sherman and Arik Gilbert.

Nebraska is starting to look like an UGA farm team..
I think the fascination with Nebraska is due to the hiring of their new head coach (Matt Rhule). He definitely has a great reputation and will likely turn the Cornhusker program around quickly. Go Dawgs!!!
Maybe Nebraska will take Singletary, too, and he flourishes there. I'd just hate to see the kid end up on an SEC roster and give us fits... he certainly has that kind upside. Go Dawgs!
Definitely don’t get why people transfer after being injured for the year. Like you couldn’t play bc you were hurt, get better and come out and compete, but he might not have been as good as players already here or coming in, bc until today, I’ve never heard of Hood.

My allegiance to and viewership of NFL teams is focused only on those teams with the most DGD's......as for the NFL, I don't really get interested until the playoffs......"Fly Eagles Fly" Davis and Dean are my all time fav DGD's........Sorry Tray and Elijah but the Chief's, Mahomes or not will win......With that said, I'm now a Longhorns and cornhusker fan......Bama & Tech can still go to hell.

It's all a joke to me with some of these kids. They initially sign with a school because, they say, "it felt just like home." Then, a year or two later, they transfer to a school somewhere 1,000 or 2,000 miles away just to (they hope) play right away. They forget about that "just like home" feeling, or even the vaunted "academics." Let's face it, we are in the beginning stages of college football officially becoming a pro sport. I predict that before the end of this decade, college players will have a union, won't be required to attend classes at their school and might possibly be able to be "traded" if all parties agree, so that both schools get something when a player leaves.
I'm personally fine with someone transferring to a program that essentially competes at a lower level and/or has a 3-6 record. They know they can't compete at Georgia so maybe they'll see the field elsewhere. We, in turn, free up a scholarship spot.
What the players aren't understanding is that things aren't likely going to work the way they think. No longer close to home and it's not like you are going to get recognized by NFL scouts playing for them. So, why do it then?
... and a player to be named later type scenario. College football as a whole, is on the cusp of ruining itself. I cannot afford to go to a game anymore. I take that back. I can afford it. I just have reached the point where I choose not to. TV broadcasts are superior, the lines to the bathroom at the house are shorter, the concessions are better and less expensive and parking is FREE. While there is nothing like being "between the hedges", I am reduced to considering going to a game every other year in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville (if I can find tix for a reasonable price). If UGA is playing football and on TV, a 3 hour block of time is spoken for sometime on Saturdays throughout the season. Guess that will be the next thing that is taken away or made cost prohibitive. Will be a sad day for sure. In the mean time, I'll enjoy the good times we are enjoying & GO DAWGS.
