Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Live Updates Senior Bowl: Georgia players Kenny McIntosh, Chris Smith, Jack Podlesny
Welcome to the Senior Bowl Live Blog, where we’ll be providing updates throughout the game.

Why is McIntosh not playing more and why no field goal for Podlesney on 4th and long? UK and OU running backs, over and over.
Jack.....tough second kick but good on the PAT.
@87dawg
The Senior Bowl is the opposite of a normal game. In a normal game, the better you look in practice the more you play. But the Senior Bowl process is for scouts. So, the better you look in practice - which lest we forget are managed by NFL position coaches and scouts - the less they need to see of you in a game. OTOH, the more you play in the game, the less impressive you were during the week. Meaning that the game is your "last chance" to make a positive impression. So McIntosh is on the sidelines while the UK and OU backs are playing because the scouts already know that McIntosh is better than they are.
To add to that a bit, if you get a lot of playing time during the Senior Bowl and do great - i.e. the game MVP - then that is good. It can overcome a bad impression left during the week. But if you get a lot of playing time during the Senior Bowl and don't do well, then it may be time to make sure that you have your "life after football" fallback plan in place.
@87dawg Talked to Kenny after game -- hyperextended elbow -- wanted to go back in, but they held him out as precaution. He showed everything he needed to this week and left in very good spirits!
Thanks @MikeGriffith , I saw that later as you wrote. Didn’t think I heard anything during the game but had hoped to see more.
@thadec , thanks but was not looking for an analysis or your thoughts on the Senior Bowl. Particularly as I disagree with them. Pretty sure Christopher Smith, a first team All American, played much of the entire game. @MikeGriffith had the actual answer.
Chris played a bit more than half -- the guy played almost every snap all season, 15 games, was here to support Warren and represent. He's a shoo-in HOF, pivotal Dawg that made may Georgia fans proud.
God Bless and Protect these great Dawgs !! I hope they have a Great life on and off the field !! Thanks to all four of them and the wonderful memories they helped to make !! All four are great DGDs and will surely be missed at UGA !!
