Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Yep. Have we seen any chatter on other team's boards about all this unethical treatment....or is it just local sources?
Lmao I said the exact opposite
I’m not interpreting anything. Please point out what you believe is incorrect. You’ll quickly realize you’re actually wrong here
I mean… the program cares a lot about the people involved in a deadly accident and rushes someone to the scene and his first thought is that the program doesn’t actually care that much about the dead kids, rather they are rushing someone there to try to manipulate police. Some might say that leap of logic is unethical and hard to comprehend.
Bunch if kids in a car accident and some are dead…
Kirby: get over there immediately and figure out if there’s anything we can do to help
Yaledawg: don’t go over there because a few wackos might think it’s inappropriate for us to send someone over there.
The fact you have to lie for the situation to fit your narrative is incredibly revealing. And once again, WHY DOES HE NEED TO TALK WITH COPS DOING THE INTIAL INVESTIGATION? Why is it oh so important for a UGA representative to be there interacting with cops performing the investigation of a fatal car crash? Why can’t the police just do their jobs in this case? What’s this guy gonna do that brings any value to the public or the players that requires him inserting himself into the investigation? Why can none of you answer this question?
Because two kids are dead.
Absolutely disgusting that you’d use their deaths to try and shield these inappropriate actions from criticism. There is no reason he needs to interact with the chief of police and the cops doing an investigation to comfort players who are grieving. Unbelievable how low some of you would go just because you like UGA football. Have some standards and convictions
The Athens PD has consistently shown no favoritism to Georgia football players. In many towns, the PD would give them a ride home. In Athens, the PD gives them a ride to the police station in handcuffs.
PG is also lying here
The first thing he needs to do is find out from the cops if there’s anything he can do to help the kids or the cops.
I believe the police should just be able to do their jobs in this case and all y’all start getting mad. Didn’t take you all to be that type of crowd
Why? What could he possibly do? Are the police in Athens incapable of handling traffic fatalities without the UGA football program being involved?
Again let's review what could be done. He could ask the officers on the scene, what they knew at that time. Who was involved, extent of injuries. If medical attention is needed where are they being taken. If deceased same question. Then he could contact the administration and coaching staff who could then make plans on the best way to support the injured, and most importantly notify the families. Which in situations like this is a very big deal. All that can be accomplished without interfering or doing anything criminal. But again you know this. And that is the last I am beating my head against this particular wall. Have a great evening all !
And as I said before this is dumb. Why should a UGA staffer get to interrogate police about what was going on? How is the university supposed to help the injured in the immediate aftermath of a car crash? That’s what ambulances and hospitals are for. What was so pressing that they couldn’t let the police handle it in the way they do for every other traffic fatality?
