Sounds like a great kid with a lot to ponder over the next 6 months or so. My thinking is the Dawgs are definitely in the hunt, but USC obviously made a big impression on him. And Caleb Williams will be gone after next season.
Sounds like if we lose Monken then my bet is may really lose any real chance for Dylan. And we'll probably know about Monken long before Dylan's visit March 18th. And honestly, if we lose Monken it could affect other recruits and even current offensive players as well (transfer portal reopens May 1st). Probably depends on his replacement.
Developemnt and Championships. That's what separates Georgia from the rest. Then you also have the greatest college town in America - Athens GA. The choice is clear... GOOODAWGS!
Kirby being held hostage and I suppose so again next year too even if Monken stays this year. Seems he’s never happy in one place too long. I don’t think Monken can look a 5 star in the eye and tell him he’s going to be around long enough to develop him.

Dylan, commit to the “G” young man!
I agree with your comments about Monken, but hopefully Dylan won’t make his decision based on an OC. If he had kept his commitment to Ohio State he would have a new OC in the past few weeks. Same can be said if he had committed to Bama or Notre Dame and the list goes on. Commit to the school and not to a specific coach because if the coach is great they will likely not be on campus an extended period of time. Go Dawgs!!!
This is the place to be. developed and. It won't matter who comes or goes the system is in place to develop players to be elite, well rounded, sound in the fundamentals, win championships and go to the next level. Georgia produces that kind of player that attracts the NFL. See the last draft and the one to come as evidence, iron sharpens iron. If the good LORD leads Dylan Raiola to go to UGA he will come even if Monken leaves. [I would like Monken to stay]. 😎

This kid's whole life is being orchestrated by his father. 3 HS's? Has a very "Todd Marinovich" feel to it. Thankfully it is not CA in the '80's. Hopefully it works out better.
This recruitment is predicated on Todd Monken remaining at UGA. And probably for 4 more years. W/o Monken at UGA it sounds like USC will be the destination. USC may be the destination anyway. NIL and exposure are sure to be more in LA than in Athens. Raiola's father seems hard wired for NIL and exposure.
Hopefully Dylan is successfully recruited by UGA. If not it would be great to see the D UGA is building play against him.

Ok, I'll ask you readers, what questions need to be asked? He knows Riley controls the offense at USC and he's not going anywhere. Hum, let me see......maybe in reference to UGA , who is going to be calling the shots for the offense at UGA? You reckon? If Monken leaves what type of offensive scheme will UGA be committed to? Seems to be a lot riding on his decision for it to be UGA. But maybe that's just me reading too much into what he said.
He also said, he doesn't want to make a decision based off of winning and losing? It was in the context of UGA having won back to back NC's. Sounds like he just wants to go somewhere where he can throw it around a lot and have some consistency at the Offensive scheme., meaning not have to start over with a different OC in a year or two, but again maybe that's just me.
He's definiitely not like SB who started training to be the QB at UGA when he was about 7.
Voted your comment up just for the Todd Marinovich reference. You're as old a fart as I am! ;-) For the sake of the kid, I hope not, however. I do think recruiters and the entire industry have gotten better at evaluating talent over the last 35 years.
Regarding NIL: How is USC doing with that? I know it's a big school (49k students, grad + undergrad) with wealthy alums in a huge market. But also I read yesterday how even Notre Dame is among the private powerhouses having trouble keeping up with big public universities. UGA and the Atlanta market are no slouches.
NIL is still a real black box to me. I have a hard time figuring out where we stand compared to other schools. Just based on size, wealth and market, it would seem that we would have all kinds of advantages over anyone in the SEC other than Texas A&M, perhaps Florida and eventually Texas.
NIL is out of control. You would think that some parameters would need to be put in place. CFB is still supposed to be "amateur" football. NIL was never intended to be paying for players to come to your school. The current application is broken. Personally waiting for the IRS shoe to drop on these inexperienced kids/families dealing with receiving big chunks of cash.
While NIL governance is much needed, the NCAA doesn't want to touch it. NIL is a free for all forced on the NCAA by government/court system. "Okay you wanted this, here it is", NCAA said. NIL is rule-less which takes the onus of management off the NCAA. The NCAA couldn't wash their hands of NIL fast enough. The courts wanted the structure that inhibited kids (and kept order and a level playing field) removed. I don't think they knew what can of worms they were opening.
I don't see any significant change happening in the near future. Fans want change that mirrors the NFL free agent and salary cap guidelines. The difference is that the NFL has an anti-trust exemption that CFB does not have. This is the system we have now.
Mr Raiola, like Mr Marinovich, seems focused on building his sons into NFL players while building their individual brand ($$$). It is interesting that both of the sons of and NFL C are playing the marquee QB position. Not an accident. What better place to do that than LA? Seemingly no higher profile or individual brand development potential than playing QB in LA for Riley.

Nil will lead to the end of college football as we know it. The money should be put in trust until the end of a players college career.
