Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

".....but he followed Alabama law"
We are really not sure yet that he did follow Alabama Law. He may not have been charged yet, but that may be forthcoming (or not) once the investigation of the incident has been concluded.
Interesting read...... Thanks!
The prosecution already released a statement saying they couldn’t charge him with anything. They’re already going forward with the other trial too. Seems pretty clear they don’t have anything on him
Awesome...,.,.you are way ahead of what I have followed in this thread (until your post containing the article from the Bama writer)
With the proper evidence, He could have been charged with a myriad of crimes (which is why and how I was answering your original question "What laws did he break?"). I also went onto say that it would be hard to justify any speculation as to crimes committed (or not committed) until an investigation if the circumstances and the evidence surrounding such has been consummated.
Apparently, now the Bama DA's office, and all those folks quoted in that article, think that the proper intent was not there....... after a thorough investigation, I am sure.
Still Interesting......
AL.com speaks with James’s father:
they have been patting him down before every game and now we know why…
Fully rooting against this guy now. Hope he never makes it to the NBA and if he does he has to pay that family every red cent he makes. Alabama should be ashamed of that program.
Suspending him would put a stop to it…
Unbelievable... I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt at first. But that kind of arrogance and sociopathic behavior needs to brought back down to earth. Bama deserves every bit of shame that's coming it's way.
This may be the worst take on the matter by anyone.
There is some truth in that post, though I see how it smells like victim blaming on the surface. This is not just a problem with some specific individuals, there are larger cultural forces at work.
I’m sure he also supports every single expansion of concealed carry in Alabama without a shred of awareness of his hypocrisy
How is it bait? He’s criticizing someone for lawfully carrying a gun in the state and exercising their 2nd amendment rights as outlined by SCOTUS. I’m sure in other contexts he wouldn’t say someone is automatically a “bad boy” for carrying a gun.
I’m just messing with you.
