Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Can't comment on the CR article about JCarter arrest warrant. So I will here.
I saw the video of the UGA group leaving the gentlemen's club. They hopped into the vehicle and sped away weaving around slower traffic. It looked as if they were "racing" to get somewhere before people in another car.
Now it is coming out that they were probably racing. Drinking and driving do not mix. Drinking and racing is begging for something very bad to happen.
What is really sad, beyond the tragic deaths of 2 young people, was that their deaths had NO impact on some UGA players like JDJ who has since been arrested for, you guessed it, RACING!
Young people think they are invincible. They make bad decisions. They DON'T get it. Time for UGA leadership to go WELL beyond "player leadership" and better mentor the players in the program. It is overdue.
What ever the DAWGS accomplish in the 2023 season.....the reason, the motivation, the commitment comes down to "Do It For Dev", "Do It For Chandler"!
Your comments are spot on and so very true. I sure hope people will heed the wisdom in what you said. I cannot over emphasize that I made More than my fair share of incredibly dumb decisions and choices. I very much did. And I’m not even vaguely proud of them. But my heartfelt plea to young people, not just at UGA, but everywhere, Please don’t make the same or similar very dumb choices like I did. Young people you are NOT invincible, even if your in top athletic shape. And Please if you don’t remember or don’t care about anything else I say here, please Get This, you don’t Have to do the things that other people Dare you to do to be accepted. If people Really care about you, Really respect you, Really love you, then They Won’t put you in a situation that could get You killed or seriously injured or Worse cause someone else to get killed or seriously injured !! If they care, respect, and love you then they will accept you as You. You don’t or shouldn’t have to Prove yourself to anyone to be accepted and make friends. Please when these situations come up, and they will, it takes More courage to just walk away, but That is the right thing to do. I Thank My Lord that I didn’t get killed or maimed for life, or Worse cause the death of someone else or cause someone else to be maimed for life. Please take the advice of an old man, STOP, THINK, Reason on it, whatever “IT” might be Before you DO !!
Well said. And I'll add one thing.
IDK if players or young people read Dawgnation or the comments. But experience may be the best teacher in life. And can be the most harsh. The school of hard knocks is a real thing. But it doesn't have to be with the acceptance of mentoring and individual accountability.
Many people, especially young people, are unduly influenced by peer pressure. Those that have read my posts know that I am not influenced by peer pressure. Never have been. Don't fall into the trap of going along with bad decisions by being influenced by peers. Be your own person and think for yourself.
If for no other reason than to spare those close to you from going through what the families of Devin and Chandler are going through now.
Very, Very well said !! It took me a little longer to catch on in my younger days. I can’t really pin point the precise time, but I think I was about 23 before my priorities changed from being a party animal to much better grounded. My parents weren’t at fault, they raised me up right.
How many times do we (the older folks) have to say it. WE HAVE BEEN THERE!!! Please find someone who can hold you accountable and be that person for someone else. Sure have fun- that’s ok. And if you choose to drink too much occasionally PLEASE have someone who chooses to be responsible enough to be a voice of reason. Across the county this happens every year to 100’s of young adults and their families are devastated. This time it happen to some of our dawgs who just happen to be in the spotlight. I hope this public tragedy can help save someone who wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
Amen, Very well said !! Totally agree !!
