    Please, he didn't run, he didn't attempt to evade he just tried to stay out of sight behind a garage wall. What's the point of your article?

    Boy a field day for MG and Dawgnation. Lots of material for their best reporting.

    @MikeGriffith You changed the details of the police report. Why? I think know why. SDS.

    Oh well… to be expected given your past history concerning ‘reporting’ on Bennett. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Thanks Mike, your report is a BIG relief.....I was under the impression that SBIV was completely Shitfaced.....if he was attempting to hide, that tells me he wasn't that drunk! OBTW Mike, what would you have done???

    Yup.

    I wish to goodness AJC would have assigned Stetson-specific reporting to another writer some time ago. I've got zero problems with reporting the good, bad, and/or **** facts concerning Bennett, but the MG-SBIV connection over the years has just not been a good look (nor has his responding to DN posters in the comments section, much of the time; relatively unique on this site).

    I truly enjoy DN, and frequently scroll straight to the comments section, as I learn a heck of a lot here, even after all these years as a football fan. However, I am going to revert back to what I did a year or two ago: reserving my clicks on the site for other writers.

    I'm sure many will disagree, but seems the best use of my limited free time (which, admittedly, I spend on Dawgnation more than just about any other website other than regular news 🙂).

    Wishing all the Dawgs fans the best during this trying time for the UGA faithful 🙏

    Hey Mike, thanks for the doom and gloom report on Finebaum. It'd be nice if you just reported the facts rather than expanding them with your opinion.....Jalen is charged with racing and reckless driving, misdemeanors.....he'll be fined, placed on probation. Your insinuations can't be proven, otherwise he would have been charged.

    @GtheGreek there were no insinuations -- and if you can find something positive to say about that tragic night, have at it. The truth is sobering, and in this case, unfortunate.

    @Hemingwey

    "Two Dallas police officers observed Bennett "walking further back in the gated area to hide behind a brick wall by a random (apartment) in attempt to possibly avoid (the arresting officers) detection," according to the report."

    Well said Kudzu, thinks I will do the same. It really has become past ridiculous, I am surprised his employers have put up with this for as long as they have. He’s like a dog with a bone.

    Agree with you, but I will go a little further……I wish he would just move back to Michigan and cover the Spartans or Wolverines, or whoever it was.

    @Kudzu i agree it’s strange that he replies when he’s not directly addressed via a question. It’s clear his journalistic integrity does not speak for itself in his work so maybe he feels a need to “defend” himself. The weirder thing to me are that there are still hacks here that give him two cents worth of serious consideration. At this point I read his SBIV articles for amusement at how MG slanted it this time. This said, I don’t think this is one of his more offensive/slanted articles. I suspect he feels Stetson is an entitled little ****, and reports on him as such. Which although he may be correct, it should not reflect so clearly in his work (although I think we’d get into a “what came first, the chicken or the egg” situation there…. Ie. Is Stet an unruly guy due to the coverage he’s receive and treatment by fans/media or is he treated that way because he’s a jackass).

    That said, I think Connor Riley did a solid job covering the circumstances of JC88 and his ties to the DW77 incident today. Tough tough situation. Could have been a lot of us in our younger years. Hate hate HATE it for all involved. Crushing.

    In terms of Bennett, there is little info to change what was clearly a **** thing to do in this short, critical pre-draft time.

    There is only one question now relating to him and that's whether he prepared enough for the Combine or not. If he performs worse than he should, I think many teams will pass on him draft wise and only give him a shot practice team wise.
