Report: Georgia Scrimmage One, Carson Beck 3 TD passes, 3 interceptions, Javon Bullard Pick-6
ATHENS — Georgia quarterback Carson Beck typified the “ebbs and flows” Kirby Smart spoke of the team’s first spring scrimmage, throwing three touchdown passes but also three interceptions, per sources in attendance.

Show. At times that you are not impartial. And look for the scrimmage guest list to possibly shrink!
@Rabid_Canine When spell check takes over .... lol
QB turnovers is the best way to the end of the bench on a Kirby Smart coached team. You can’t judge Beck by his work last season, when trotting in the game up by 40. Those appearances were void of pressure. He would experience pressure like he never felt before, in Jax, and Knoxville, hopefully Atlanta and beyond.
Hold everything......before we make any rash decisions, we need to take into consideration the fact.....It's EARLY and our offensive ones are going against what will be the best defense in college football...my continual worry is knowing that steel sharpens steel but that's where the injury bug comes into play.....I do have faith that KS is a master in pushing as hard as he feels it is safe.....ie: potential sacks whistled dead....come September 2, our O will be sharp enough to shred all comers.
P/S....I'm hoping The Big Toe From Down Under has another "challenging" season.....ie kicks mostly in practice!
Scrimmages are usually pass heavy and the defense is well aware. The command of the offense will be key in the fall. For now, let’s keep the injuries to a minimum while separating the ones from the rest.
Ok, so do we say Beck had bad throws or do we go with the thought that our defense is just that good? I prefer to think out DBs are world beaters.
Hmm. I guess we'll see how it looks at G-day, but throwing INTs is concerning (especially a pick-6). I'd certainly understand a lower-than-expected pass completion percentage due to a number of factors (like who is catching the ball), but THREE INTs? Ugh.
Certainly, we are a long way until Game #1, but he needs to keep it in check. Vandagriff's running ability might be the difference.
Both. Vandagriff didn't throw any interceptions, threw three TDs and ran well. Sounds like he had a good day.
I've got question. I'm not making any predictions, but: Could y'all see Bobo calling triple options for a BV-led offense that would be unstoppable on the ground and in the air?
If Brock works on his progressions so he can more quickly decide how and when to unleash the throw, he will be quite the asset!
Go Dawgs!
"Brock" Bowers is playing QB, too? Lol...just kidding. He probably could, though.
"Gunner Stockton, while athletic and strong-armed, was notably not as smooth operating the offense. Smart said he made some plays with his feet, but he continues to work with the twos while Beck and Vandagriff split reps with the ones."_____MG
Yall, watch this kid (Stockton)...a lot can happen between now and October. I think, he's "The One". That would be sweet, too. A RS Fr., leading the Dawgs for 3 or 4 years, with a ceiling 1 mile high...sounds pretty good to me.
If the only thing holding Gunner back, is experience and command of the offense...that's correctable, in a 4-6 month period, with intense study and mental gym.
The experience part will take care of itself...especially with the 1st 4 games of the season to play with. UGA's early-season schedule is like playing with "House Money" for "Bobo & The UGA Quarterback Club". It will allow them to get it right, the first time...or, by the Florida game, anyway. Lol
