That ... really isn't necessary. They are the Atlanta Falcons, not the Georgia Falcons. If you look at the 11 million people who reside in Georgia now, most of them are transplants: the northeast, the midwest, other southern states. This is especially the case in Atlanta, whether the city proper or the suburbs. These folks only started following the local teams when and because they moved here. Outside the Atlanta metro area the dynamic is different: far more longtime UGA fans yes but far fewer people who actually attended the school or watched a game in person. So for the Falcons (and the Hawks) the best way to attract crowds and get ratings is to win as many games as possible.

A case can be made that the Falcons are absurdly passing up guys who can help them win football games, especially in the later rounds. So yeah, maybe they should have gotten Kelee Ringo in the 3rd to grab interceptions from Bryce Young for the next 10 years instead of an oversized Ohio State edge that Young will be able to easily evade. But only because Ringo would have probably helped them win the games needed to sell tickets to the tons of people who moved to Georgia from California and Massachusetts over the years.

It's just sorta confusing how the falcons haven't seemed to see many Dawgs that could help them over the years. IT compares to the Eagles GM who made a comment to the effect that UGa is a one-stop shop for their needs.

That's one reason of many why they haven't won the big one. Probably never will.

    Falcons? Golf? Golf.

I don't think the Falcons will ever get over that super bowl loss, 25 points ahead and still lose. Only the falcons. They've been doing it there way for their ENTIRE existence. So, you could say they know what they are doing. They have losing down to a science.

Falcons are like my 3rd favorite pro team and that is only because I live in the area.

There was a time when I thought management wanted to win. They have one of the top 3 stadiums in the country and a perfect location to really put together a sustainable contender year in and year out.

What's the problem? It's a real head scratcher.

As far as the 2X NATTY CHAMPS ARE CONCERNED I don't personally care if they pick Georgia guys but considering how many have been picked in the last 10 years I would be curious why not more?
