Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Merci, y'all.
Agree, Moan-sewer!!!
There’s probably a reason football players are taking it
And reasons that non-football players are taking it as well. Might even be the same reasons.
After years of piano lessons and then 4 years of French in high school, I can still read music but the French is a different story.
It's like trying to speak a foreign language.
For my first two years at UGA I was a double major in music performance and journalism. I ended up with a minor in music performance because two high demand majors was just too much. The hardest two classes I took were music theory and music history.
I can promise you that it’s never too late to learn to read music.
I'm with you. I took accordion as an 8 year old kid. I can still read music today at my Methuzelan age as I work on my first year of violin lessons.
One of my electives had to be taken in fine arts (I was a business major at that point) from either music appreciation, art appreciation or drama. I chose drama. My assigned role for the final scene of the term was Sgt. Toomey from Biloxi Blues in the scene where he confronts the platoon in the barracks after the two soldiers were caught in flagrante delicto in the latrine. I chose to play him as having been awakened after a late night bender, so I went to Chili's on Alps Road and got drunk before class ( I rode the bus) and acted out the scene with a strong buzz.
I got an A in the class!
I think that might be taking method acting to the next level. Awesome.
All good. I’m well aware of Arkansas’s academic reputation. And thought your comment was funny
All the freshmen football players are signed up for that class….it’s a guaranteed A…or the instructor could be looking for another job
There is one good reason…..an A
I'd be willing to wager a nickel or so that a good # of non-football players will get good grades as well. The teacher sounds like a easy grader. Mayne, especially for road graders.
