Check this out. Kids sing Tool.
This is pretty darn good. Good on them!
Wow, impressive!
If anyone likes head banging get in the Pit old Punk listen to my kids band. This is an original. NSFW warning the language is bad but the music is tight. I think. They are on Spotify etc. One son is the drummer the other on guitar. The bass player is a kid we have known since kindergarten. They only have 3 members.
@flemingislanddawg That - and They are great. True old school punk, indeed. Just q’d em up, they’re on Amazon, too.
My son playing guitar graduates from UF but all he wears and supports are the Dawgs. Takes a lot of heat from his cousins but doesn’t care. Had UGA bedding in his dorm. I still remember this last new years it was quiet waiting on the kick I see him looking down saying “it can’t end like this there is no way it ends like this “. I knew he was right. And man did we celebrate.
He is a true Punk- slamming the enemy in their own pit and coming out standing on top.
Tell him I really like his guitar fills, very restrained and fitting.
Plus - you get cool Dad award for pushing their F bomb laden song. We played DK’s “Too Drunk to F,” in HS and my Mom “made us” substitute “drive” when we practiced in our garage! Clearly we weren’t nearly as cool.
I know Tool isn't for everyone, but I hope everyone can appreciate the sheer talent and dedication it took for those kids to pull that song off. That was incredible.
Thank You. Friends of mine were in a band in High School 1981, and they played at a football game Eric Clapton's Cocaine. The Principal made them say Propane instead.
Absolutely. I have always been impressed with music and youth. I love how my age music is still around. I was playing Mother Freedom by Bread last week and my 5 year old Grandson said. "Papa, I didn't know you liked Rock and Roll" He loves it all, he tells me Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Steve Miller, BTO, he stands on top of the Jungle Gym and yells "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" There is hope for us after all.

We never played anything like this is HS or College Band....I was a pretty good trumpet player back in the day. Played in my college concert band my freshman year then like an idiot I gave it up to join a fraternity the next year...I don't have many regrets in life, but that is one of them.
You got that right brother... talent on top of talent from all four members.
I can't remember the exact year, but it was in the music sharing days. I used WinMX and one day I was collecting some tunes from somebody and they jumped on the Chat feature and asked me if I'd ever heard of Tool. I said, I was vaguely familiar with them. He said, "Download 'Pushit'". So I did and was instantly blown away. Been in the Tool Army ever since. Saw them live in Jan. of 2020 just before the Covid meltdown. Man what a show... unreal.
Nobody is like them.
