Maybe not necessarily in football because i know none of us want to see Tulane upset Georgia or Georgia in a blow out But they should play again in basketball they have not played since the 2007-08 Season Tulane won 70-69 on a last second Buzzer beater in the Rainbow Classic

Rivalry?
Tulane was in the SEC for 30+ years. I assume that's what he's talking about.
ah....
Yah they had a pretty solid Rivalry if you buy media guides from the 80s to 90s they consider Tulane a Rivalry both the teams agreed to play a few years ago(supposedly) but it didn't work
A “million” years ago in football I do believe that Tulane was some kind of actual powerhouse, and they played once upon a time as one of the original charter schools in the SEC way, way, way back in 1933. It’s been 90 years now since then, so there’s that.
As a kid I was a Tulane fan. Went to football games. This was when Tulane was in the SEC. I can remember seeing Tulane host LSU and especially Alabama. Tulane certainly wasn't horrible. They played well in spurts, but not consistently.
Last season USC found out Tulane can be very real. The Cotton Bowl was not a soft landing for the West Coast Warriors.
Oops! Wrong sport.
Go, Dawgs!
Moi, aussi. Remember "Tulane Stadium - Home of the Sugar Bowl?" They left the SEC before I went to any games. My brother-in-law played in the early 1970's for Tulane, and was drafted into the NFL. He didn't make it onto the roster, IIRC.
Big deal to play for Tulane and get drafted. Was he a local boy?
We ushered Sugar Bowl games when I was in Boy Scouts. All the patrons were all dressed up. Everything was High Pageantry. I knew almost nothing about college football, bowl selection, etc. Some of the teams were from exotic far away places like Pennsylvania or somewhere like that.
Fortunately I knew a little about actual football as played on the field so the games were great. They all run together now of course.
Tulane Stadium was indeed Home of the Sugar Bowl.
It was all so grand.
Go, Dawgs!
Frank Anderson, WR, grew up in Texas. My sister and he live in Round Rock, now.
