NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Texas A&M confirmed what Kirby Smart and his Georgia secondary already knows: transfer Deyon “Smoke” Bouie has the makings of a good football player.

    Let's hope he shows up for camp. The kids got talent just has to put in the effort and everything will work out.

    We have not had a lot of luck with guys with big nicknames lately (Freak, Bear...).

    Why should we hope he shows up. Kirby says they mutually agreed to part ways, which probably means, Kirby was glad to see him go, probably because it now opens up a spot for an even more talented player. Plus, I believe Smoke was still carrying some baggage from whatever he went through last year at Texas A&M. He sort of reminds me of D-Rob, who should have come to UGA directly out of high school instead of going out west first. I think if Bouie comes to UGA as he initially planned, I think he's still on the team and, with a year under his belt in the UGA system, would have been ready to seriously compete for playing time. Is he actually in the Transfer Portal?
