Worse than that...they never did. Lol...but, they're pretty good at pretending to know "more" than me and you...cause they should. They get PAID to know more. Yet, I knew more about the game, at the ripe age of 16, than most of these guys ever will.

Most of these so-called experts, never played or coached the game and can't possibly understand anything outside of "a quarterbacks throwing arm"...or a "Wide Receiver's hands and speed". I'm not talking about all of em, of course. There are a few opinions I value greatly. But, the vast majority of em are in it for the money, or a team...or it's all they know how to do. Lol

It's just a job they have to do...but, only do "well enough" to keep their job. After all...who ever holds em accountable for being wrong? Being right or wrong, isn't the main goal, anyway.

Creating controversy and generating conversation, with arguments that escape resolution, until the game or season is played...gives them something else to write about...and, "us", something to talk about.

I just think, the Players "deserve better". All of these guys grew up dreaming of being the best...and, "earning the trophy & glory on the field". Some very talented and deserving football players have been cheated out of their just rewards by "ignorance, hype & politics" over the years.

Stetson Bennett was one of em IMO. Treyvon Walker was another. The "Entire UGA Offensive Line" is yet another. Shoot...I could go on and on...just on the UGA slights, alone. There's no way in Hades, Caleb Williams "deserved" a Heisman Trophy last year...over and above all other CFB Players.

I've got my opinion on that...and, I'm sure you have yours. We can probably, both, justify and validate our opinions, if necessary. The guys that vote for these Awards and create these lists, are only held to the AJC standard...no justification required. Lol

There were 8 votes for Vanderbilt to win the SEC....at SEC Media Days, in Nashville, last week. What does that tell you about the lack of respect these "so-called reporters" have for the Players, the Conference and the Game?. Those 8 voters should "canceled". 😁

As a "fan"...I don't take it too serious, unless money's involved. Lol...I suggested to Dawg Nation, recently...that they create a series of "Preseason & Mid-season Football Pools"....kinda like the "March Madness Bracket Pool". I think it would generate a lot of interest and probably increase their readership. The winner (and Family)...could represent Dawg Nation members, on the "Dawg Nation Cruise".
