Hello Marvin! Congratulations on a great career at OSU. You will be remembered as a first rate pass catcher, you'll make a ton of money, and good for you. Georgia has some good receivers too, and you know what they have? A ton of hardware, and more likely on the way. But you don't need to talk to our wide-outs (Can you believe that they practice against our DB's every day? I know, crazy right!) you need to talk to the Crimson Tides' receivers about not making it through a game at the most critical moment. Your coach can validate your feelings too, but you know what Mr. Salyer said 2021: "games over, we scored more points. "
“Never underestimate the importance of physicality”

Just out of curiosity...I went back and looked at every single play, to find out just how effective Harrison was in the game. Especially since the sports media "professional gum-flappers" and writers don't seem to be able or willing to do that or report honestly on the Harrison injury and impact.
Here goes...
Harrison had 9 targets completing 5 of them for 2 TDS/1 Fumble...for 106 yds..."all in the 1st 4 possessions".
His"production" ended with 10:56 remaining in the 2nd quarter and his game ended with 35 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter.
So...basically...he was "SHUT DOWN" for 2 whole quarters, by the Junkyard Dawgs. There it is. UGA "Big 3" on defense (Smart/Muschamp/Schumann) had ALREADY shut him down...long before his "injury"...and, he was a "nonfactor" going forward.
He had 5 catches, 4 drops/incompl, 106 yds and 1 Fumble...throughout the game. But...all of his production came in the first 4 possessions. Other receivers, such as Fleming and Egbuka had much better games.
I think it's laughable...not to mention..."an insult" to the other OSU receivers, to suggest that if Harrison had been in the game...somehow he would've won it. I wonder how their "Locker Room Chemistry" is comin' along. Lol
I think the bigger loss was actually that we did not have Washington if I remember correctly? Imagine how much better our offense would have been with him in that game? We also did not have Nolan.
So injuries are part of the game which is why depth is our X factor. This is the downside on recruiting prima donna wide receivers because they don't like too much competition. Problem is they get injured and then what?
Wake up call for Marvin that he needs to “toughen up” if he wants to last an entire game vs. the SEC champion. Go Dawgs!!!
I guess, right now, it's just more fun, for OSU Fans, Players and Media...to play ",pretend like"...like they used to do when they were kids. But, that only works for people with imaginations...which means..., OSU's defensive coaches are SOL.
He had zero receptions from 10:56 remaining in the 2nd quarter until his injury at 00:35 remaining in the 3rd quarter. They shut him DOWN after his last TD.
They seemed to be running out of a different defense, after that 4th OSU possession. A "Dime Defense", maybe. Not sure...but, I think they were playing to "stop the run and spy the QB", in the 1st Qtr.
On that 1st TD....OSU's RT (#79) practically tackled UGA's LT (#96) by the shoulder pads...who was breaking through to pressure Stroud. It allowed Stroud to roll right and buy the necessary time for Harrison to get separation from Stark (#24).
Don't tell me, "holding by OSU didn't effect the game".
If we're gonna play "Whataboutism"...What about THAT ( OSU's blatant holding). Could the Dawgs have beaten em worse if the rules were equally applied throughout the game?
There was a lot of money and possible "future, badly-needed, BIG10 respect and hype" riding on that game. Cheating is not out of the question. But, let's don't talk about that, huh?.
"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." O-H-I-uh O on the kick lost.
Get a life Harrison...no way! Ridiculous. Look at that game...that was Providence.
If,if,if..the most used word by a losing team/player. The tosu coaches and players still can't let it go. Accept the defeat, quit whining like a kid, and take it like the men you claim you are..GoDAWGS!
Actually, the 4th qtr changed the game. The time when all great teams find ways to win if they are losing. While good teams fail to do that, like tosu did. DAWGS also had key injuries, how convienent for tosu fans to only see their side of the story, and not the whole story. They can whine, and cry a new great lake. It still won't change the fact UGA had more points on the scoreboard, when the game clock showed 00:00, after the 4th quarter. The ONLY numbers that matter..GoDAWGS!
Jalen Carter was literally tackled on the play Stroud ran down to our 35 for the game winning attempt. I’ve never seen such a blatant hold not be called.
Boo Freakin' Hoo.
"I played football and someone knocked the snot out of me and made me drop the ball. We would have won if I had better hands and concentration. Or of we held their guys a few more times that still didn't get called because we did it the entire game, including when I got the snot knocked out of me. Oh, and never mind that I stepped out of the end zone before my life flashed before my eyes and that mean player actually hit me. That was not fair."
Get over it. You guys got away with holding every other play. And guess what, it turns out that hitting the opposing player is actually wiithin the rules of the game. In fact, as I understand, the receiver should expect it and try to avoid it. I'm told that is why players wear pads. Go figure.
Mike Tyson would have probably won the fight if Buster Douglas hadn't clocked him with a right hook but guess what he did. And Bullard clocked Harrison. ENOUGH SAID!
