ATHENS — Bear Alexander said he once told Kirby Smart that he has “red, black and white running through my veins,” but it turns out there might have been a couple more colors involved.

Bear who? It's a game to these types. Hope UGA meets him again in the playoffs. I have long moved on from this dude.

Right On BubbaBill....indeed a conflicted soul and I for one happy to see him leave! One thing is sure, he just may meet his goal in the weak Pac 12 and he'll not be pushed for playing time like he would have experienced at Georgia.

Note to Mike....I would appreciate a steel trap focus on the great roster of DAWG players working their hearts, and souls to become DGD's now that fall camp has arrived! I wish to celebrate these young men rather than the weak, waffle committed cast offs.

I cannot say what I want to on this site right now so I will just say the following to Bear.

    Weak.

It was a NO brainer bc there is NO competition. Period.

This cracks me up how he thinks his Wishy-Washy commitment saga will play well with NFL scouts. If I am an N FL team this guy has a couple of strikes against him from the get go.

off topic, but anyone else getting AI vibes from a few of the DN articles. By now we have read countless Connor and Mike articles and recently there have been a few that just didn’t “sound” like their traditional style, almost like a artificial intelligence app composed them. Either way, the information is intriguing

Pretty soon even the responses will be manufactured. Then you will be arguing with a computer. You will have to do the 'Prove you are not a robot' check before every reponse.

I feel like Jim Harbaugh is kind of a robot man. Some of his commentary lately feels robotic...

@MikeGriffith ...I don't get it. What's the difference between a "HC/DC" or "NIL Collective", recruiting a player off another team......and.......a "HC/DC" or "NIL Collective" pressuring...or "encouraging", their "Starting QB" to recruit a former recruit and/or friend, from another team???

BTW...I think Kirby looks at the TP as a way to move players around and manage the roster. As a positive way to "get rid of players that don't fit", for lack of better wording. I believe he actually likes it...for the most part. But, Alexander does sting a little bit. That's the downside.

Also,...Mims did the same thing last year and turned around. I can't help but think...there's an enormous amount of outside pressure on these kids, texting and Social media, for example...to turn out money for their families. I know they want to, as well. So, it's not hard to get in their ear and twist up their minds. They need to be protected, once their decision is made,...IMO.

I don’t want to read another word about this guy unless it is mocking him as he sits at the NFL draft waiting and waiting and waiting for his name to be called, ultimately going in the 6th round because it was recognized that he chose weaker competition and proved that his word meant nothing.

I think they're "Aliens". Sark, Fisher, Daye, Harbaugh have all been "Body-Snatched"...all those Midwestern teams are products of the UFOS that crashed and landed out there, back in the 40's and 50's. Lol...they still haven't learned how to play football, so they appeal to their brothers in the Press.

Those Teams are better at "Politicin'"....UGA plays football. Lol

Maybe we should reexamine this "Transfer Portal" thing.

It seems one way to protect these kids from the pressures of "outside influence",...would be to "lock them in for 2 years", once they begin school. By the time they complete their Sophmore year...everything should be clear to them. They would be free to choose and make a course correction in their career...if necessary. And, THAT can be limited, too.

I'm ok with that as long as the coaches have to abide by the 2 year rule as well. I mean look at Auburn hiring Freeze and TAMU hiring that total youknowwhatI'mthinkingofsaying guy...
