Wow. Alabama with nary a first place vote in the AP poll.
"The last time a team won the national championship after starting the season as the No. 1 team in the AP Poll was Alabama in 2017.".....The next step in fully claiming the Bama Mantle will be for the DAWGS to go undefeated and finish #1 for a Three-Peet in 23. This team has earned nothing as of today....though I would argue that with every practice you complete, despite having been beat down exhausted like a butter roll under a steam roller, you've survived, you've gotten better, and you are a champion because you're going to get up and do it again tomorrow....come the start of the season, excelling in games will be a relief!
I don't put much stock in polls and accolades until after season is over. Too easy to get caught up in misguided self-worth
People die in 106 Heat Index. Die. Kirby's got them out there in full gear getting roasted like a chicken someone forgot on the grill late Saturday night at Chick Fil A.
I take no stock in anything Kirby says about practice or the scrimmages. He is purposefully full of it putting out his propaganda to influence the players and keep everyone in the dark.
Bottom line is we have an all world defense and a really great offense but unfortunately for them they ran into that defense. THe offense needs to play against the 2nd team defense to have a chance.
