What the National Media is Saying about the Dawgs?????? A conversation with the best man in my first wedding revealed a name that threw me.....amongst his friends in and around Columbus Ohio Javon Bullard always came up as the most.....despised, respected, known Dawg in conversation with Brock Bowers always coming in second to ole Marv for the 23 Heisman. I was certainly taken back when my current brother in law from the UP of Michigan rattled off the names Truss, Van Pran, Ratledge, and Mims....he's worried his Big Blue is in jeopardy of not cinching a 3 peat Joe Moore award! Even my daughter in law in LA knew who Carson Beck, Ladd McConkey, Daijun, Kendall and Arian were....having been able to attend the Natty last year. It seems we have made an impression nationally.....my comment to all was, Hey just wait till December.....we've got a whole roster of "No Names" that will be indelibly seared into your conscientiousness! GOOOO DAWGS, SICEM!

It's a wierd thing the whole northern bias thing. As someone who has traveled a lot around the country in my work and worked with all the areas Alabama has always been a blue blood team that people are 'comfortable' with winning even if they don't like it. Alabama has been winning forever since the 60s right? So, they are kind of considered the 'New York Yankees' of college football. Always expected to be great.

Now with Georgia the northeasterners (New York City, Connecticutt, Rhode Islanders, Mass) those people do not like Georgia period. There is still a very big bias against anything from Georgia. I know that may be hard to believe in this era but when I worked in Manhattan I ran into it all the time. Yes, I have been to American Whiskey and there are some Georgia fans in NYC. The contempt in Boston and Providence for anything from Georgia is very real. I used to tease some of the people that they had to find a Georgia IT guy to come fix their systems in the City. Anyways, it is real, beleive me.

So that brings me back to the point of why a company that is headquartered in Connecticutt might not be thrilled to continually seeing Georgia win and win big.

Let's just enjoy it. It is like watching someone who doesn't want to take their medicine having to continually take it. The more we win the more they have to take their medicine. Relish it, enjoy it, smile and just say Go Dawgs! Watch them squirm.

    PURE GOLD!
